Hey Clutch, my daughters car is on the rail as of yesterday heading down through Illinois. Is yours on that shipment? For this area(Baton Rouge) they drop off in Port Allen........Will check again later this AM for further update.

Sounds like you are on the same car as me. I just checked and they said "no status". I'm not sure what that means, but my guess is that it means it is sitting there, waiting.

I believe that we will start on CSX and be transferred to Union Pacific.

First I tried CSX (a couple of times). To check the status:
1. Call the CSX automated phone line 1-800-235-2352
2. When prompted for location or weight, press "1" on your phone for location.
3. When prompted for the car initials, say SSW (or key 74 74 91).
4. When prompted for the car number, say 080756 (or key 080756).
5. When prompted for next car say DONE (or key ##).
Note well: Do not talk to a customer service rep. Never talk to a live person.

If the automated system gets confused, it will try to transfer you. If it starts to, hang up and start over.

Then I tried UP. To check the status:
1. Call the Union Pacific automated trace line 1-800-877-5123
2. Press 1 for english.
3. Say "trace"
4. Say "one" (number of packages) or press 1#
5. say "SSW 080756" (or key 080756)
6. say "no" for fax copy

HAha!! Nice! But I wish I knew if my car was even shipped! Hell, for all I know it can be waiting to be picked up just sitting in a yard somewhere. I got onto that tracking site but no updates as of yet. I damn sure hope I get my car quicker than expected though, everything is in place!

Same here. By the time a sticker was available, I was already across the border in Michigan.

Hopefully the window sticker showing up is a good sign. I was able to view my window sticker yesterday, after it was built last friday. I was pending stripes though, so maybe they are through the process and it has been shipped now. Can't wait for the update today on the tracking site.

Also, keep in mind, the tracking site is at least a day behind and there have been a few of us that by the time they got the notice they had a VIN and were available to ship they were already on their way.

Clutch - ask your dealer to print out the history of the status change, that should at least get you close. From what I have been seeing on here, your status will show up the day after it is built. So, mine went to 3800 on saturday last weekend, so it was built on friday and the system updated overnight.

Well I was able to see my sticker after a few days. my car was built on the 10-3 but now its got a blank spot where it would either say ( rail or truck). I hope it got shipped out yesterday or now it wont go till next week with the holiday and all. Sad face.

I will be going in on Wed to do all the paper / trade in stuff. Going to be weird to not have my car to drive off the lot with.

Oh well at least the wait will be over shortly for most of us. Happy Friday all..

Well I'm hoping mine arrives to the dealer today. The last time I talked to him he told me scheduled delivery date was 10/9. I've been on the road for work for the past 3 weeks and this would be a great home coming gift. It arrived in Illinois by rail on Wednesday and has to go to West Salem, WI for delivery.
