Made it to Semi finals in Unlimited.
I had a great time drag racing this weekend. Friday I made a couple passes of 10.23@135 and 10.28@135. Then on the last pass my I smelled oil and wondered if I'd pushed the front seal out again, that didn't happen but it might be the rear seal this time. So I was gonna pack it in and just drink beer for the weekend. Mike (toohighpsi) came in Friday night and we talked about what could be the issue. So Saturday we changed a couple hoses in the staging lanes for my final and only qualifying pass in unlimited. I ran 10.15@135 and ended up number 9 in the field. We had to pull a couple of degrees of timing to make sure we were gonna be able to make the first round since it was still knocking a little on the 10.15 pass. My first round I had to run Sledgehammer, I was qualified ahead of him but since they weren't doing a ladder till the second round I drew him. We had a heck of a race, I left on him by .002 and ran a 10.29 to his 10.37. He was right on my door all the way down the track and I heard from some of the guys around the pits and they said it was the best race of the day, Sledge and I agreed on that also. Second round I was against Mark Carlyle Racing and had my best light of the day .298 to .268, he spun the tires and I went on to win 10.30 to 10.43. Then I had to race the fastest car in the class, he'd been running 8.80s. Guess who won? Ha, I left just a little early and he pulled away pretty easily and I let off at the 1/8 since I was smelling oil again. Might have a rear seal or maybe worse. I'll pull the Diaper off (belly pan) and see how much oil is in it then look for the leak. I only have a about 4 weeks till I go back to the LS Fest. We will see.

I did but man the heat was bad. They probably need to make another class for just drag cars. That Camaro I ran in the semi finals was not street legal in anyway. Mine will pass inspection in any state. Still has stock cats and every thing. Maybe they can make a class for them next year. They didn't let the Shop cars run with us like Texas speed so hopefully that will get resolved. They could also run a bracket class.

If you only want to run against street cars, there are street car classes. Unlimited did not have a whole lot of rules.

I know the rules, it was a comment that may have to be looked at. I don't really want to run an 18" wheel. Wasn't complaining and I know what I signed up for.
