Regrets? No sir.

Annoyed with how dirty it gets? Yes sir. I only have time to clean it on the weekends.. so I spend the week eagerly awaiting the day I get time to clean it...

Mine is my daily driver... Garage kept, but driven in the rain or shine. (Not snow) It rains way too much here to keep it a sunny day ride. Plus.... I don't have any other vehicles, and I'm not about to start busing again now that I have a Maro just to keep it dry.... I want to drive my car, not place it in a Museum and "care-take".

Unfortunately my dealer delivered my car "cleaned" and it had lots of swirls on it... I didn't notice the swirls as in my excitement to finally have my damn car.. I didn't think to check for that.

I really hate seeing all the swirls when I'm up close... Looks mint from a few steps back. Looks sexy no matter how dirty or swirly it is because it is black... I've seen other ones driving around and didn't like any of the colors as much as I like black.

It's a preference...

I am no guru on cleaning as this is my first car... But I do have all my wax/polish/clay/cleaning products etc... the waffle towels/microfibre towels and everything else I could get my hands on...

Just came in from washing it off again... Gonna probably polish/clay/wax in the morning... hopefully not see so much of the swirl action going on afterwards.

What I am curious is.... Is it even possible to keep a black car completely swirl free and scratchless???? I am pretty damn careful and anal in my cleaning... But it seems a lost cause.

Ah well, dirty or swirled doesn't take away whatsoever from how much attention this car is getting... I gotta say though, it gets old... having to discuss it at every stop light, every parking lot, every stop n go rush hour traffic scenario... Andddd the stares do get akward from time to time.

Mine's black and a daily driver. I have no garage so I wash it every saturday. I'm going to steal my family car when they put down the road salt.

Planning on buying a house in 1 to 2 years w/garage

I have a black 2SS, RS/SS. I don't use it as a daily driver and it has never seen a drop of water on it. I have a black Dodge Charger as my daily driver and I get tired of it being dirty but when it's clean it looks great. It's a pain to keep clean but it is worth it to me, I love the looks of black cars.

I never thought anything about the thread title being anything other than asking about a black car.

I love the black bat mobile look, but i park in a cramped apt complex, probably be hard to clean it myself unless i find a creative spot to borrow a hose from lol.

Or pay for it cleaned weekly, but i think that would get pricey.

That swirl and scratch thing would drive me crazy too, im not sure. Cars park so close together here also. I'd strangle someone if they opened their door into mine! lol.

I know nothing about waxing and zaino use either, but im not sure if that should hold me back from going black. Arg why do i have to be so undecided lol.

Go Black...

vesi...

If you ordered the black first I think that should tell you something. I can tell you black is hot and you will want to keep your ride clean. $30 for a hand wash twice a month and invest in a car cover for you apt complex. I keep mine in the garage but I still enjoy cleaning it and people go crazy over it.

Black will show dust pretty easy, that is true. But no other color can polish to a mirror finish like black

Well, as a G35 coupe owner (in black natch ) I'd say black shows the curves of a car very well. Its just a bitch to keep clean. I mean, 15 minutes after I wash it, its dirty again. But... she looks purty in black.

My 2SS on order will also be black due to the beauty of the curves on the Camaro. Even though this car will be my daily driver, she will be garaged every night and on weekends.

Now THAT might be a problem. If you have an apartment where the spaces are really close together and you'll have to squeeze between cars to clean yours, that's going to get REAL old REAL fast w/ how often you'll want to wash a black car.

ETA: There's really no wrong choice. A 2010 Camaro in any color is awesome.

But if you're undecided anyway that might nix the black for you. I know if I couldn't decide between two colors, I'd take the practical route and choose the one w/ the least maintenance. While I myself chose black, I think you should go w/ silver in your particular situation.

Not a chance of regret, it's alot of work , but black hands Down gets the most attention when it's shined up. Black beats the ass off everything Imo. A clean black camaro looks like a weapon, and I love it
