R1 Concepts eline Rotor rust issues
Anyone have any issues with the R1 Concepts eLine rotors rusting? I've had them on for two months and 3 of the rotors are rusting. One still looks good.

That's a reason I went with my Stop-Techs. The hats come pre-painted.
But it's not a huge deal. Just clean em up and paint the hats yourself. Problem solved. Its little work and should take a morning or afternoon of your time.

They look great!!! I will defiantly do that. I guess, since I will be taking off the calibers to paint them, I might just get the calibers powder coated at the same time. Did you paint the whole rotor black and then the pad just removed the paint from it?

Thanks! Probably would have been easier that way. I actually taped it off, painted the hats with high heat paint, and used a small round foam tip brush to do every slot and hole. Then surfaced them with a flex-hone tool. They didn't really need turned but figured this would help as they did have some slight grooves. Apparently I'm told it takes special equipment to resurface drilled slotted rotors properly, as I couldn't find a shop that would turn them and guarantee not to ruin them. Link to a hone tool like I used below.
