I passed the first ABM I've seen on the road the other day. He waved through his sunroof. I tried to do the same but forgot mine was closed. OUCH!! I was excited!

+1.....I do find that doing a little revving of my own in response seems to take the wind right out of their sails...a lot of people don't realize what lurks under the hood, and will back off when they hear the sound of 426HP.

I sometimes come off cold but that is because I a embarrased by the attention. I bought the car because I liked it, not to show off to everyone. It is also scary when people get close to touch or potentially close to rub it with belt buckles, hangin keys, or jean rivets. I've seen people and their kids at the Denver car show touching and sliding their hands all over the cars with no respect. I try to be friendly to anyone that comes around and is cool. Only once at a food stop did I ever say don't touch the car, it is not on display. Everyone else I've met were fine.

Since I picked up the car on 10/5 and have driven it only 2 days since, I haven't run into or passed by any fellow owners, but sure have had an arrogant experience with 2 different late model Vette owners. On separate occasions, both saw me coming, had a sort of whatever half-smile sneer on their faces and turned their noses and heads the other way. I am sorry guys that the Camaro is getting way more publicity and attention than the Vettes, but show some respect. I love the Vettes too and it's GM, we should all be praising each other and heck, even all American car buyers for that matter!

i've seen and waved at a couple of other gen 5, they waved back. what i think is interesting is the same response from several gen 3 & 4 owners. i've ridden motorcycles in this part of texas for about 10 years now and is normal to wave when you see another bike. life is to short to be rude.

Hahahahha, I've done that, too! 99% of the time my sunroof is open, but the one time I wanted to wave to someone, it was closed.

I was surprised when I saw a black SS getting on the freeway here, gave him a wave, he returned it.
I know I've missed a couple of waves by people (saw them wave last second, I try to roll down the window and give them a thumbs up, I hope you're checking your mirrors after you go by) -- like someone else said, I was looking for people waving the first few weeks but let off a little bit. Most chevy trucks I'll look at for waves, guys driving those like the camaro!

No they don't, some do some don't... Being in Florida I can ride 365 found most Harley riders after seeing you don't subscribe to the Harley macho image ignore you I really don't care as there are motorcyclists who love all types of bikes and then there are folks that are trying to fill a image.

I wave, peace sign whoever. I took mine to a huge carshow several times out here and talked to everyone. Im a bit of a nut so it makes things interesting. Im used to talking to people about my ride I have had this 57 BelAir for like 8 years and cant go to the gas station without a ten minute talk. I have no problem when people have a shared love for the ride.

I throw up a "wut up" nod every time I meet another Camaro owner, a peace sign while I'm driving.

Wut Up Ya'll!?
