White Camaro marked as a NJ State Trooper

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble about the corrupt and inefficient spending of tax dollars - especially for 21" wheels, but the car cost zero, zip, nada, nothing. It was a loaner from a prominent dealer in the area to be used for the Toys for Tots Run and the weekend only.

But, it did look good out there! Maybe GM will bring back the police package?

And its TOTAL BS that a state car does not have to have the front plate but the rest of us do.

I hate this state.

Thats total BS to have an SS,RS with the way over priced wheel upgrade on a police car! An LS camaro would do just fine and still have more power than the last generation LT1's did! Way to waste tax payer money...

I'm thinkin', no - just keep it going. And BTW - there was no front plate because it has a dealer plate. That was taken off and replaced for a photo op...

White Camaro marked as NJ State Trooper

I am alurker here and not posted before today. But some people take what is said here and run with it; sometimes that's a good thing. But, are you guys just ignoring my post?

NJ didn't buy, lease, rent the car. And I agree the money for the options on a car designed for police work would be unjustifiable.

Sorry, little well-deserved rant from a law enforcement officer on behalf of all of us out there. Oh, not to mention the job we perform for well below what we deserve... Please don't mistake this as a defense for police corruption though. I know it's out there, and I see it even in my own agency in ways, although not necessarily financial...

All that aside, very nice cruiser. I certainly wouldn't mind having that for mine.
This was a loaner car from Kerbeck in Atlantic City. They held their annual toys for tots run (a Corvette event) yesterday. The AC Expressway is esentially show down to other traffic for a littel while while the vettes bearing gifts for the Marine Corps program drive the 20 miles or so to the Kerbeck dealership. Cars are essentially allowed to go as fast a prudent (well over 100 MPH in many cases). This was the 6th year.

So NJ is not spending 40K+ on toys to cruise the higways.
