The base of my question is some shops here claims that there products (sealents, wax) is good enough for protection there's no need for the bra one of them is a shop sells diamondbrite http://www.jewelultra.co.uk/ and according to him this is even better than the Films>>>
thnks to your replies I'm leaning towards the clear bra which bring me to the next question:
ventureshield, 3m Scotchgard™ or Llumar???
I'm glad you have a choice as to the different protection products I researched your link and this is what I came up withhttp://www.clean-image.co.uk/paintse...amondbrite.htm

I still am confused due to the fact that it seems like a paint sealant, However Price is not stated by UK Law I had a hard time locating anything in the USA? Like htp autoworks said I would get a written warranty for paint chip I really don't see how it could be better than the films available though.

Uhhh....
Sorry to burst your bubble but i got appraised about $1900 for hood and front bumper. Dunno where this magical $700 you speak of is.

You could pay sticker for your car or you could give the dealer $20k over the sticker price. My point is price is going to vary by market and by installer. Me being an installer (for 6+ years now) I know what the average going rate is and I know what the material cost is. I have been to 36 states this year for work so I am familiar with the market and what the rates vary at. You may pay one installer more (hopefully because they can do better work) or you can pay another installer less for a half ass job. Unfortunately I have seen some really outrageous prices for half ass work... and $1900 for the hood and bumper is insane. If I were you I would not pay that much for an install. Tell the installer that for a partial hood, partial fenders, full bumper, lights, and mirrors he should be getting anywhere between $700-$850. That is still profitable for him without ripping you off as a customer. My full rate for the Camaro is $1500... which includes full hood, full fenders, full bumper, lights, mirrors, rocker panels, lower doors, rear fenders, and rear splash wells. And I still make some money for that job. So you can see that installer is WAY over priced... way over priced. But that in no way reflects the rst of the market.

Do you mind me asking who the installer is? I am not familiar with any good ones out of Kansas... but that doesnt mean there arent any.

Which by the way, IS totally appropriate for the thread.
Simply stating; it might be offensive to some folks for you to assume that if they choose not to purchase the product because one factor in their decision making process might be cost $$ then they somehow can't afford a 30k car? Is an assumption which will offend. Which is what I was stating in my second post. Simply stating the obveious... Cost will always come into the decision as to whether to get the product or not.

Thats great! and may be a factor in their decision making process as to purchase the product or not. again you "buy what you can afford" (cost decision)

Don't take it personal... Just pointing out that assumptions on your part may put some folks off.

Was Auto Image, they do a lot for local dealerships. Full Hood, Full front bumper $1,899 and they would throw in the 2 side mirrors free. Other wise they charge $45 a mirror.

Go to my thread about sandblasting and watch the You Tube video of what the film does to protect you from sand. It's what convinced me.

I just want to say that you come off as a real prick in your posts, starting with this one. People come here hoping to get honest and accurate information regarding situations with their new camaro.

We like to get that information from professionals or knowledgeable people about our questions or opionions without feling like some douche bag who knows eveything tries to belittle the people on the forum by telling them what they can and cannot afford, and what they should do with their money.

Maybe everyone is not as well off as you my friend and used their last dollar to purchase this car but who are you to tell them that they are stupid for doing this. All the person wanted was to get an answer to his question from someone who had the answer. Your answer wasn't worth the other bullshit you added to the post. And with your attitude I doubt that anyone who reads your previous posts on this forum would bother to look you or your company up to do business with not to mention refer you to someone else.

Good luck and maybe you should smoke a joint or something before you make a post with horseshoe up your butt!

Around here it's about 1800.00 for the full hood/side fenders, rockers and bumper.

I'm getting the 1/3 hood, bumper, mirrors and lower rockers installed Tues (about 1200.00 with tax).

If you have the spare change it's worth the extra paint protection (in my humble opinion)

Although I may have been correct in theory I to was a bit of a prick in my delivery.:( I also was in a foul mood yesterday and just looking for a reason to run my mouth.

So my apologies to you and the rest of the forum members for my bad language. Funny how karma works, at least we can admit when we are wrong.

So have a great day today as I feel great today, a Steeler victory always makes me feel good.

LOL, well I am a Cowboys fan so my "feel good vistories" are coming through a lot of stress. I mean they barely got by the Chiefs.

I understand it happens. I meant to get back to this thread but have been busy lately. So had you not posted I might have forgot... and I would have hated to leave it like that.

Have a good one too...

Hell we barely beat the Lions sunday so don't feel bad about stuggling with the Chiefs.

A Steelers vs. Cowboys SB would be great! These 2 teams played 3 of the best SB's againts each other I have ever seen.

How great is it to have 2 teams that are SB rivals? That doesn't happen much.
