The rears are on there so firmly, it's a shame the fronts aren't attached as well.

Couple things. There are different grades of VHB tape, you can get stuff that will literally never come apart. Prep is key which leads to the next thing. RTV? The tape will never stick to anything like RTV. As soon as you get it anywhere near the area you want to tape its contaminated. It's going to make it worse.

If the flares are pulling away that means there's some sort of pressure making them pull. Dry fit the flares and see if you can find the reason why they want to move away from the car. Rears probably stick because they fit and don't try to pull away.

Purchased my 2014 Red #89 brand new, looked like the front splitter was not adjusted
correctly putting upward pressure on the front flares.
After adjusting the front splitter, removed both flares, we put epoxy and a flat square nut on the flare and drilled the fender to put bolts thru for a secure attachment.
Also, 2 sided tape and Betalink K2 was used per GM instructions.

I bought what was suggested by GM. I did not install them this go around, but I trust this shop. Their prepwork borders the obscene in their attention to detail.. only way to get vinyl wrap to stick. The RTV was around the bolts on the bumper, not the rest of the flare, and it's pulling away at all points, not just the top portion (which would be the first part to go if there was pressure).

Besides that though, I want to point out again that I want a method that secures the flares while also allowing me to remove them when I need to. Having to spend 1+ hours to remove and reinstall per flare is well beyond my patience.

This method was what I was looking at doing. We're probably going to go with this, so thank you for telling me. I assume it's working for you just fine?

I will, however, pass on the Betalink. lol

We use 3M Panel Bond to attach the flares. It works great, just need to make sure the surfaces of the both the flare and the fenders are cleaned and prepped properly.

Seems to be holding well, lots of hand work on the flare to get the flat nuts bonded to the flare, then, getting the nuts flush to the flare, drill the fender and attach with 2 sided tape and Betalink

Flare coming off

First be sure. You not using an adhesive tape to a wrap tape
You need a product like Siliprene a very strong adhesive sealer that will require clamping for at least 24 hours. Then a high quality double faced tape around the outer perimeter to body to the fender. Believe or not the crap advertised on tv FlexSeal has 2 faced product and adhesive caulks that work. Scuff the body before bonding the flair on.if you are close to Chicago, I can do it.

To be clear, I am not going back to something like that. We are modding the flares and the fenders for them to be bolt on. Hardware and gasket are enroute.
