wow...that is great hp! Easy 10 sec pass with traction at 635rwhp. Possibly going to VMP on Friday night?

My zl has a 2.38 and a 10% lower now.. that is about 16-17 #s with everything, cam, headers, ported blower, the works. Do the 2.38 and don't look back

If you do end up getting a squealer ( my name for blowers that get noisy needle bearings behind the snout, just get ahold of me and ill tell you how to fix it.
what are you making power wise with your zl1 set up and are you still on the stock clutch?

I'm a auto car and right now all I have is air flow data logs because my converter died during tuning..

I'm STRICTLY GUESSING GOING OFF OF OTHER CARS THAT HAVE MOVED THE SAME AMOUNT OF AIR so please don't crucify me.. it appears that the car is going to be making somewhere north of 725-750 wheel through the auto. Maybe more.. I'm a little skeptical because I have nothing but flow data on the few logs we got before the converter issue became obvious.

The car has the following mods

Ported blower
102 n.w
Wing cut out of intake port on head
2"tsp headers
Meth
2.38 upper
10% lower 24, 400ish blower rpm at the 6200 comanded shift point
Lpe cold air...

The car logged 17#s and took 20degrees of timing with the 15 jet in the meth nozzle on pump 93..

I got good news today and my main man Rodney at RPM transmission called Coan tiday and they put me in the front of the line and said I'd have a new converter speced to my car built and shipped out in less than 5 days..
Right now I'm busy replacing the crushed thrust bearing in the motor from the yank ballooning and trying to shove the crank out the front of the motor.. (this was discussed then I decided to check the oil and found metal in it)

So beware gentleman. . A shitty tq converter cost me a ton of work pulling the motor and a crank (I'm replacing it not grinding it) luckily it hurt nothing else....car will be running next week..

sounds about right with what you have and meth. and yikes what a pia due to that converter :/ sorry to hear that! gotta pay to play though.

im on the fence about my build due to that same issue. im m6 but im hesitant to try and push it past 750 whp on the stock clutch and i dont have the spare cash to do the heads blower and clutch right now. one or the other XD

You think the stock converter would have been up to the task? I know why you wanted the upgrade just wondering if the stocker would have handled the extra hp without ballooning?

It was a dyno com dyno. Been pretty stingy for me. My 08 corvette dynoed 682 rwhp on a 248 dyno jet, on the dyno com it did 640hp. I got to drive the car today and it is simply amazing. I think I will be happy for awhile. Stll not quite as fast as my vette, but better in most every other sense. Tim

Ifci would have left the stock converter in the car I know for a fact it would be running.

You are probably going to need to get the snout machined a little to install the 2.38 pulley.
