Before you mount them up, be sure and clean up the spark plug threads.
In other words install some and make sure they start easy.

I did a bit of research before purchasing them.. looking forward to checking them out! Just have to decide if i wanna run the LS9 Gasket or use a LS7 gasket.. Seems like the bore sizing of the LS7 gasket is better suited for the heads but not sure if the material/make of the LS9 is of better quality...

I am running Cometic 5318-040 as recommended by Tony Mamo. They have a 4.160 bore. The AFR site specifically mentions them also.
Look under the recommended components section

I also bought the 6 bolt version just in case the LS9 block ever has to go and I go with a 6 bolt block.

I am looking at the cometic website and i notice they offer a .51 thickness and then a .56 thickness in the 4.160'' bore.. Not sure which one to get considering the LS7 measures in at a .51 thickness and the LS9 gasket at a .55.. Not sure which cometic would work the best?

I did the exact same.. I went with the 6 bolt version as a safety measure.. Who knows.. May want to upgrade down the line..

Either will work. Consult your builder and/or tuner?
