With so much speculation around the future of cars this is great to see.
What do you guys think it will look like?
And will there be an electric drivetrain available?

Personally, I think so. I wouldn't be surprised if Chevy replaced the V6 with an electric model.

I didn't read the article before posting. It didn't say anything about the potential for an electric drivetrain but I think there is a market for it.
I think they should skip any hybrid version and offer an electric Camaro for Gen 7. Not because I really want an electric Camaro but I think it will generate buzz for the model and bring in new customers (market itself). If Camaro beats Mustang and Challenger in offering an electric version it will pay off. There is a spot for an affordable performance EV and Camaro can fill that spot.
Of course there should still be a V8 offered with a manual transmission, but offering an electric drivetrain will really diversify the Camaro portfolio and allow the car to live on for a long time. Also, this could allow the gas engine to live on as well by having a car to put it in.

In an interview approximately 1 year prior to the release of the 6th Gen, Scott Settlemire stated that the 6th Gen was fully completed and the 7th Gen was teetering around 75% completion.

Hope this one blows me away somewhat like the 5th gen did... though I doubt it.

The 7th gen will be my next Camaro... plan to skip the 6th gen. After driving a good number of them (v6 and v8 - 6th gens), these cars are just not for me.

I plan to keep my 5th Gen strong well past my 7th gen though...

If they make it like a retro 2nd gen F-body ('70-'73), they will have another hit on their hands.

I think the engine choices are interesting. Turbo 4, NA 6, Turbo 6, NA 8, Supercharged 8. I would think that they would maybe get something a little more similar to Corvette engines like the supposed twin turbo V8. Maybe eventually?

No more retro cars. This fad is so played out.

first of all that will never happen because the slope of the trunk doesn't work aerodynamically
secondly do you know how many people here i've seen over the years say
'i only like the 1st and 5thgens! '

i know what a Camaro is when i see one and they don't have to mimic any particular generation.

Thoughts on if it will be bigger than the 6th gen? I am 6’6” and 240 and I just fit in my 5 gen but find the 6th gen a little tight. My head has hit the roof a few times and I cannot wear a hat at all in my gen5 with the seat all the way back and all the way down.

Hard to believe with the current running production that it would have the impact of the 5th Gen after a lay-off. But someone mentioned a 2nd gen retro might turn a few heads.
