Me? I haven't even contacted the dealer yet. I'm hoping this will provide all the answers I need and I can order the parts and install it myself and just have the dealership do the re-programming that's needed...

Update: It's a no-go. They were not able to update the radio software and the USB/PDIM was not recognized by the radio. The dude told me that they called GM, but even GM didn't know why it wouldn't work. Oh well, I can expect to see a check for a good $300 pretty soon...

This dealership charged $86 for the labor.

Gah. That sucks. So they're just trying to update the radio firmware and can't get it to update?

Do you know if they're going to open some sort of TAC case or something on it or is this the end of it?

There was no mention of a TAC case being opened, so I'm pretty sure thats the end of it. I guess I'll be getting a check in the mail and a kick in the ass for my efforts

I'm not sure what TAC is but I asked Eric if he could open one. Let's see what he says.

Basically a problem ticket opened with GM. Saying "we can't figure this out... help!". It's what they did for the L99 problems. Not sure how it works and there might be some stuff before the TAC but they can't just give up and say "i dunno" when something is supposed to work.

Really? Somebody's gonna have to answer to my friend

It's not a huge deal for me, but it would have been nice to be able to keep one hand on the steering wheel and the other on the radio, rather than fight the ipod with two hands to find the right song

I mean they "can" but that's pretty lame if they do and if you bitch enough they'll escalate it so that it get's some help. They're selling a product which as far as we can tell doesn't even work.

Hmm...no bitchin from me, I think this is the first product that I've been pretty passive about, I'm surprised myself. Maybe in a few days when some other poor sap goes through this, we'll find out what the heck happened?
