Question Best place to buy new driveshaft bolts?

The GM service manual states the driveshaft bolts are 1 time use and should not be reused.

Does anyone have a good source for where to order them. I would not mind some reusable aftermarket ones either.

Thanks!

GM ones are not expensive at all. Just get those. You'll be better off just getting the original ones. Do you keep breaking them?

No, none are broken that I know of. Just looking ahead for my upcoming torque converter install, I seen in the GM service procedure the bolts are 1 time use and should not be reused.

Is 11611388 the correct part #? How many are needed? I cannot find any vendors who sell them... I mean vendors sell parts where the shaft would have to come out to install their parts...

If you know the size and pitch you can get them thru your local hardware/bolt store. Grade 10.9 or 12.9. I have ordered thru the local Fastenal for other bolts. Cost less than GM and are reusable.

Jack, I have bolt-prop shaft to pinion flange GM #92139104 in my notes
They attach the drive shaft to the differential, 3 are required, get them from your dealer or from a GM parts supplier online.

Be careful, The reason the bolts are one time only is because the OEM using sophisticated equipment installed the bolt in a Torque To Yield fashion. This most probably stretched the bolt so you need to throw it away. The spec they give you to install a new bolt usually gives you a Torque and Turn spec which also tries to put the bolt on the yield curve.
I would use caution if you are considering re-using a bolt tightened previously in this fashion
