Typical, punish EVERYone for the tiny minority of jack holes.

Very California mentality

This law isn't new. The 95db limit has been a law for a couple decades, if not longer. The law was changed from it being a fix it ticket to a $25 fine. If the cops in your area weren't pulling people over for loud exhausts before, they very likely won't be now.

And it's not just California that has exhaust laws. Pretty much every state in the country does in one form or another.

And some have said fines were $1000 or more. That number is close to one of the fine amounts on the list of infractions. Don’t recall the name but most likely for illegal mods to the exhaust not just a loud catback. Now if they are pulling over cars that just look fast, that’s profiling and you can beat in court possibly if you want to try . I never ever have been pulled over with any car, but going to be extra careful.

Then must have been a bunch of the $1000from the reports. But does seem to be imports mostly. But for the cops to now go out of there way to pull over people vs before for a cheap fine doesn’t sound worth the effort. But hey, as long as the state gets more income I guess
