I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE IT ALONE.

Took mine to have the shifter fixed because sometimes the key wouldn’t come out. Specifically told them not to do the key recall. I get it back and they’ve done the key recall. If one of you guys had the problem I’m sorry but don’t punish me because someone did something stupid.

Just picked my ‘13 ZL1, the dealer only did one key! I thought that was pretty cool, stops all the recall notices and leaves you with a blade!

Lucky dawg. I’m going to see if my local dealer will hook me up with a blade.

You can cut the key out and put it in the switchblade

That sucks! I would be really pissed if it was me. Mine hasn’t had the recall but I did just buy a new fob last month from amazon. I had my local locksmith cut a new key. All in it was about $35-40. I didn’t have a spare key.

Do you have a link to the fob you purchased? What all did you do to get it to work aside from cutting the key?

When I bought mine the dealer gave me 2 of the replacement keys (non flip) and the two switch blade fobs minus the key part of course. Fast forward a couple months and while I was looking through the glove compartment I found the 2 half keys just hanging out! I two part epoxyed them back together and I've been popping that key ever since lol. Bonus is I have 4 keys now.

I bought my 14 LT a month ago and it only had one recall fixed key. I went to the local dealer to get a second set and they asked if I wanted switchblade style. Yes, I did want that. Just under 75 bucks out the door.
