Besides, if any of your buddies criticize you with their Honda/Nissan/Mitsubishi/Toyota you only need three words to get them to shut it.

"Line them up"

First off, I'd like to add my welcome to you on this board, along with everyone else's , ... GLAD you're here!!

You gotta know that the guy who penned the original sketch for the 5th Gen Camaro, Sangyup Lee, is also of Korean descent, if I'm not mistaken.

That's Sangyup, 2nd from the end on the right. I'm on the far left, next to Tom Peters and then Brett Vivian, the Camaro Line Director.

I had the pleasure of meeting Sangyup in Milford in May and he rode shotgun with me when I piloted the V6 car around Black Lake for a few laps... what an honor!!

I'm in awe of his talent, and you couldn't meet a nicer, more modest and more personable, friendly and open guy if you tried...

Should you be driving a 5th Gen Camaro? OH HELL, YEAH!

... and be darned proud to be behind the wheel!!!

Best regardSS,

Elie

I mean, Americans drive Hyundai's (I know they suck) and Honda's, but it seems a little different somehow for an Asian like me to drive a car like a Camaro...

Is this just my stupid perception of am I right? Any opinions?

Haven't you heard theyre making driving while asian a crime be careful.

Any one who has read the thread about the cops crushing peoples cars knows what I mean.

If people are staring, it's probably because they're jealous of your car. LOL Just give them a smile back, then stomp on the gas and leave 'em in your dust. heh

American Muscle is for everyone to enjoy!!! If you get stares they will either be stares of envy, or respect A truly great car will transend race, or ethnic background, or any barriers. When you see a truly beautiful car, be it Muscle, Import/Tuner, Hot Rod, or European/Exotic every one can agree that just an amazing car. Its a passion all automotive enthusiest share, and you'll be welcome to join in!

Welcome to Camaro5. If you enjoy power, you'll enjoy the Camaro. I don't think anyone will have an issue with it. If they do....f#*K them.

Welcome minibus135! American muscle is not just only for Americans, it's for everybody. You just need to have guts to handle the power of an American
V8 ,it's just getting used to it ya know?. And plus there is no match for their throatier sound they make, and I'm pretty sure that you will damn enjoy it when you'll get your Camaro.

Great Automobiles know no boundaries. They are truly international.

You can be of any nationality, and most "car guys/gals" will welcome you -- REGARDLESS of any other criterion, no matter where you meet them.

They, almost without exception, will say "Welcome to the club!!!!"

And, I am glad you have posted, and we all weclome you and look forward to seeing what nice car(s) you decide are right for YOU!!!

WELCOME!!!

if/when people stare, scream out:
"More Flags, More Fun!"

I on the other hand will be screaming:
"Welcome to 7-11 would you like a slurpee?"

Thanks, Elie! I began reading the thread and was like....."anyone going to mention Sangyup Lee???"

Welcome to the site! I'd like to say that we here pride ourselves on the vehicle itself. Nationality should have NOTHING to do w/ owning this car. No worries, my friend!!!
