Will OEM GM ZL1 Splash Guards fit my 2013 SS?... YES
After searching MANY threads here on Camaro5 and reading about splash guards / splash shields / rock guards, I came to the conclusion that a definitive answer didn't exist to this question:
Will OEM GM ZL1 Splash Shields fit my 2013 2SS without ANY modification to my car or the parts? The short answer is YES. I used part numbers 22895337 and 22895336. I know there are other brands and styles; each with their pros and cons. I used to have ZL1-addons rock guards on my 2014 1SS, but that rear diffuser is way different. This time I really wanted something that looked stock, and didn't look like a truck mud flap or just a flat piece of cut/shaped plastic. In reading other's posts, some said the holes on the OEM GM parts didn't line up with their 2013 or they had to drill, modify, etc. NOPE NOPE NOPE. Did I remove the tires? NO (it would have been easier though) Do I have the ZL1 rear diffuser? NO Just remove the three T20 Torx fasteners. A socket that fits the Torx bit wrapped in a rubber band can help here. Pull back the wheel well liner to reveal the factory holes. Clean the area; there is some tape (unneeded in my opinion) on the guards to stick it onto the car body. I prepped the guard by "plugging" the empty/unused hole at the bottom that would connect to the ZL1 diffuser; it does look better without an open hole visible. I also prepped the guards with 2 body fasteners in the lower holes. I used a plastic molding removal tool to help push the fasteners into the holes since it's tight and my thumb alone couldn't do it. The top hole on the guard will line up with the factory fasteners. From under the rear of the car, line up the guard with the factory holes and press the fastener into place with the plastic tool, then push in the fastener pin with the tool. Align the wheel well liner and re-install the 3 torx fasteners. Pull the adhesive tape, press, and you're done! I took my time and enjoyed some garage time, but it only took me about an hour. |

Very nice OP. Can you take them off and then put them back on while making a video tutorial LOL? J/K of course. Any links to the parts? I see ZL-1 rear pairs on Ebay but don't see the front ones for some reason. I'm thinking of doing this after seeing yours.

Also, just to clarify, NO fasteners or mounting hardware come with the GM rear set. The parts diagram looks like they might use rivets, but the fasteners I pictured above worked great and securely hold them. |

Oh thanks I didn't realize until I looked again at the pics that this is only for the rears. I think the mention of 2 different part numbers confused me a bit. But I like them and may do the same thing. Can you post a pic of how the whole car looks with just mud flaps on the rear by chance? I'm just curious if it still looks balanced with only the rears on it. I imagine it does as they are a stealthier look than many I've seen. |

I don't get the advantage &/or reason for these splash guards.
1) They get dirty and must be constantly cleaned. 2) I don't like the look. 3) After 10 years my L&R rear side facias are chip free.

I bought a kit on eBay or Amazon a while back for a different project. The ones I pictured seemed to fit and hold the best.
Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Retainer-Fast...97137823&psc=1 |

Put stainless on front, don't like the look on the rears.
