sure, the new generation of young peoples talk about to live "green". but this is just talking.
switzerland is country with a lot of car entusiast.
the politicians, just a smaller part of them, like to speek about a green switzerland, with no cars in the city. who knows, maybe this is the future, but not in the next 20 years. our country is very small, but what you think, how goes all people to work? with the train. we do not hav the infrastucture and place to go just with the train or the bus to work. we must
share the place with the cars to.

i drive my viper and my zl1 and if somebody here have a problem with them, its his problem.
the us cars, like zl1, ss or challenger they are not officialy sold here are more expensiv the in the usa, but its not a problem to bring them on the street. And in switzerland we have also one zl1 1le which is registrated for the street. but nobody will buy them. the last price was 130000 swiss franks.

Do your cars draw a lot of attention locally?

You know that Switzerland is a free country, and by the Swiss constitution everyone is guaranteed freedom of opinion.

That out of the way, what do you believe is false about my observations?

I wasn't singling out Switzerland in particular, but since you touched upon the subject, I would hereby like to remind you how quick the Swiss public is to label a car enthusiast a "razer" if they so much as go 15 km (~9.323 mi) over the speed limit (the English translation of "mower" is about as close as I can muster) and how the Swiss media, especially the national television and radio like to stage witch hunts regarding that (with the "obligatory" disclosure of the driver's nationality, which is a subtle form of deep seated racism). I personally witnessed the police harassing the tuner subculture of the Swiss car enthusiast community (although as a U. S. car owner I wasn't affected), to say nothing of the technical inspection nightmares, and so on, and so forth... U. S. car owners in Switzerland come away with it unscathed because the cops know that those are usually elder people and that you need a shit (metric) ton of money to own an American car in Europe in general and Switzerland in particular. So they usually leave the expensive cars' owners alone but harass everyone else. People hate cars in Switzerland in large part due to media witch hunts, racism (the car scene is often associated with foreigners, for better or for worse) and because the Swiss roads are overcrowded. That's what I observed. Again, freedom of opinion...

I observed that compared to the general public, the Swiss car enthusiast community is microscopic; personally I believe that the stigmatization and purporting to be against climate change are large reasons why that is so. Car drivers in general and car enthusiasts in particular appear to be very stigmatized.

Good for you, but you can bet people there have a problem. Is it right? Hell no! Should one care? Probably not. But it seems a lot of people are envious since they appear to perceive it as showboding. I don't understand it, especially if we take into account that Switzerland is one of the richest countries in the world, but I have experienced it myself.

Nobody will buy it because the U. S. car owners in Switzerland weren't born yesterday, for they know the car costs $73,000 to $78,000 USD brand spanking new and they know that the import and custom duty fees are 12%. With the U. S. dollar to franc being more or less 1:1, the price of $130,000 USD / 130'000 CHF is still ridiculous by any standard. It boggles the mind.

However, that particular White 1LE is now 110'000 CHF, as the dealer in question actually imported four of them at the same time and had them homologated, rather than doing the discrete attestation (three of the same make and model are required for homologation). He can now import them all day long, day in, day out. There is a hyper Blue one waiting for the White one to be sold... but if he wants to sell them at 130'000 CHF, he will have to wait about 20 to 30 years.

We do indeed. I have to say that I have never experienced such close sensation of community in any other forum devoted to any other topic... I literally feel like I'm among family when I'm here.
