I ordered my Camaro today, but waiting 8 weeks is going to suck. I hope there was a faster way, but no dealership had what I wanted.

Setup:
Summit White
Black Rally Stripes
RS Package
Black Interiors
Manual Transmission

Looking for some nice black rims.. still debating between 20''s and 22''s.
If your getting factory stripes, gonna be more like 12 weeks. I hope you get it in 8 but thats pretty quick.

Rocky start...happy owner.

Just a note from another happy Camaro owner. I got mine last Saturday and promptly banged the door into a brick wall, chipping the paint. Aaaaargh! Mine is a little different: a 1LT RJT automatic with the standard wheels. I did not want the larger wheels. The brakes are mushy, the steering is a bit dead in the center and the headrest does not work for me. But I love the car! The engine and handling are marvelous. I feel like I've got a Ferrari! Anyway, I finally got a decent photo today at the local park. Cheers to all you other owners and thanks for sharing the long wait ( Aug 21 ). Here's my new ride.

I put away my Camaro for the winter today and got out my AWD truck. As I was putting my new baby into the garage I scraped the mirror on the door giving the poor thing it's first scratch. Such a bummer!

Well, I have been researching the Camaro since the concept car came onto the scene.I have owned Camaros since I was 19 until the 33 years old. I am now 39 and have been without a Camaro the last 6 years. I told myself 3 years ago I was going to buy a new Camaro, I just didn't think it would happen this soon! I have owned, in order, a 73 RS Z28,ALL ORIGINAL, 69 camaro, 72 RS/SS, ALL ORIGINAL, and a 70 RS/SS I restored from the ground up, numbers matching. I have owned Novas, EL Caminos and a 57 Bel Air. So, all that being said, I am a V-8 guy.. I have had some FAST Camaros.

Now, Long story short, I went to a dealership Sunday because they had a V-6 in stock, so I drove out to take a look. With my son going to college next year, I have a budget to follow. Needless to say a SS was looking out of the question. As I drove up to the dealer, I saw a Silver Ice 2LT-RS sitting directly in front.

I asked for a test drive and they stated that it was a special order for a customer in August and that it just arrived a week ago and they did not want have any mile put on it. The customer was supposed to pick it up but had not shown up Friday or Saturday. They attempted to call him but he was not home. So I started the paper work. He called back about 30 minutes later and told the dealer he could not purchase the car. So, here I was with a Camaro all for me with one burning question for this v8 guy. Will the V-6 impress me enough to buy this Fully loaded Camaro? Well my fellow chevy heads, after about 5 minutes I was sold. This car runs great! I was impressed, and I am not easily impressed. It rides like a cadillac, Handles like a Camaro should, road noise was minimal and most of all it it fits me great. (6'4" 223).

Got back to the dealer and handed the key back to the owner and he told me to keep them that this was going to be the easiest new car buy that I have ever had. After going over some numbers for my trade in, our 08 Honda Accord, (POS), and working some deals out, I had a response from the bank in less than 20 minutes! 4.9% with no money down and 14,000 for my trade in. Shook hands and the deal was done! So, I am a proud owner of a 2010 Silver Ice fully loaded (minus moonroof) 2LT/RS Camaro from the lot, no waiting no ordering! Just great timing! 20" Rims, leather, xm, etc etc.

Now, would I have liked to get the bad boy SS, yes of course, But I have a 45 minute commute everyday and need some decent gas milage, plus decent car payments. Now I will look for a nice exhaust and intake for her. I also plan on putting black stripes on her.

I also can't believe how well this V-6 runs!! I am very happy! Once I get in, I forget all about the $400 a month payment!!

Hey, 'water-skier', are there tires on those rims?

So, 'the one', what you're saying is you DONT feel our pain? Congratulations on the quick buy. If I ever get this V6 broke in I'll see what it can do.

Sorry, I don't feel your pain. Just got lucky! However that being said, two dealerships with 30 minutes of me have had a steady supply of camaros on the floor. Both, Salinas and Gilroy Ca have FULLY OPTIONED SS's in stock. One was %43,ooo and the other was $53,000. Although Gilroy said he would go down to MSRP for me. It was black/black, ground effects, brembo, everything! Bad ass looking car, but too much for me.

I drove it today and let my foot go into the gas just a little off the line and I hit 60 right now! The acceleration on this V-6 is great!

Put me down as another happy Camaro owner. Picked it up last night at Reedman/Toll in Langhorne, PA. The salesman Bob Noble was great to work with, and a super nice guy. Ordered it in June at MSRP, and although the price increased a couple hundred dollars and the destination fee increased since June, Bob and R/T honored the signing price and I was out the door.
Thank you Bob Noble and Reedman/Toll!
Now, I wish someone could stop the rain, I've got some detailing to do!

Picked my Camaro, 2LT/RS A6 RJT, up last Saturday (10/10/09). It was a long wait (ordered 5/26/09), but like everyone in this forum has said, it was worth it. The dealer, Barry Bunker Chevrolet, was great, honored the GM employee discount and even put the car in the showroom so I could drive out of the showroom (something I always wanted to do).
