Are people planning on getting there much earlier or is WAYYYY to early to know? Any ideas where the meet and greet is going to be held? Is there a "host" hotel?
we are leaving thursday, don't know if it will be early or not. if we leave early we are driving straight there and will have friday to explore.

what are you driving? Are you trying to get your car by then? I see your countdown is falling quickly... You must really be socking it away! What do you plan on getting? 1-2? LS-LT-SS? RS? auto/man?

My tripe is one road the entire way, I75. BORING but quick.

Yup, I am putting away $1000-1500 a month for my camaro. I am ordering around Christmas, so I should have my car by then. I will be ordering a 2LT/RS. Unsure about the auto/man. I am too close to Houston I think for a man. I was in traffic on Wed. for two hours. It would of sucked in a manual. idk.

Most of my trip will be down I-10.

big city + stick does suck but if you aren't stuck in it every day its no dig deal. I have been driving a stick for about 10 years and it really becomes second nature. You cant eat or talk on the phone or screw with other stuff you shouldn't be when youre driving but it also makes you much more in tune with your car and the experience of driving as a whole. Plus I think you pay more attention. it is really a decision you have to make, obviously, but the M6 is really fun! Then again, mine is not my DD.

keep the 84 chevy (whatever model it is) as a beater. I can't remember the last time we had less cars then drivers. My g/f (wife now) had 2 when I met her and I had 2, now we picked up 2 more... so yea, 6 all together...

oh yeah 84 BFT is Skips child. Its def. not a beater but it will be the vehicle we take when I don't want to take the Camaro to certain places. one day we plan to have weekend toys. but marriage and house comes first!

we did it all backwards. We had all our toys, then got a house then finally got married! I am assuming BFT is Big Fin Truck?

if i do end up going are there any texas people that would want to drive as a caravan across country? i'm pretty sure it's quickest for me to go through texas so i could meet up with you guys on the way and we could have a camaro "rally" across america picking up more members in the states along the way...

just an idea....it would be pretty cool to see a line of 20+ camaros on the highway on the way to camaro5fest
