If you are more a drag racer you may be happier with a ZL1 than a Z/28.
That being said it is either American Racing or Kooks - 1 7/8" or 2" - any good shop can advise benefits of each size. Do a search - lot of build threads to address yoru other questions regarding heads and cam's. Good luck getting what you want |

Of course, “because I wanted to” is a good enough reason for anyone, but maybe there’s more to it.. |

I have ceramic coated kooks. Be aware that aftermarket headers sit very close and sometimes touch the factory ac delco spark plug wires. They will melt. Ask how I know.

The LS7 isn’t a great choice for boost either. Your better off with a ZL1. Stronger drive train for what you want it for. |

It's a high compression engine from factory. Boost requires lower compression to really work. In a nutshell, you will destroy it much faster than if you just put a built LC engine in.

Ls7 also has thin wall sleeves and I’ve seen where they have cracked also. If you want a forced induction 427 then you are better off buying a resleeved block to do it.
