22's Didn't fit..

I recently purchased a 22" rim and tire set for my 2017 SS2 Camaro. Front tires rubbed at top inner area. Does any one know the proper tire size I need? *265/30-22 is the size I have that gave me issues*

The offset on the wheel must not be correct. It should be embossed inside the wheel. My 9" wheels say ET 30.

You may need to add spacers if you want to use those wheels.

Bingo because I have a 275/35/22 up front but I’m an 11 SS check the offset

I agree with Fred. You have the right size tires (may even be slightly too narrow for that wide of a wheel). Sounds like your offset is too high. If you like the wheels and don't do highly aggressive driving, you might want to consider a spacer. Do what Fred said and check your offset printed on the inside of your wheel.

Stock fronts are 20X8 with +35mm offset. Ideally, you'd want between about a 30mm offset to keep the tire from rubbing on the inside with a 9.5" wheel. Every 5mm more spacing is about .2" worth of spacer. If you need more than a 10mm spacer, you might want to consider different wheels.

Okay I looked it up. Stock offset for gen 6 front wheel is ET25 and 8.5 width. Even worse than a Gen5. With the ET33 and a 9.5 wheel its definitely having interference issues.

Thanks for catching that this is a 6th gen. I did some math. With 8mm more positive offset and a wheel that is 1 inch wider than stock, this means your wheel is .815" farther inside than the factory. I don't know how much clearance the factory wheel had but you can probably get away with a little less than factory... my guess is 1/4 - 1/2" at most. That puts you at needing between a 8mm - 15mm spacer. If you wanted stock clearance you'd need a 20mm spacer. With that big of a spacer, you may be compromising the strength of your wheel lugs since they effectively get shorter. If it were me and I insisted on running those wheels, I'd see if a 10mm spacer (and I am not sure you can even get a spacer bigger than that) gives you enough clearance before going any bigger. Once you get larger than that, you are gong to run into issues with not having enough wheel lug.

Anything bigger than 10mm wonrlt allow the hub to locate the wheels and anything bigger than 15mm needs to have it's own set of lugs on it because you'll exceed the length of the factory ones. You get to a point where you mount the spacer and cut the factory lugs off so they dont protrude and then the wheel mounts on the lugs of the spacer. I dont recommend it. I recommend getting new wheels.
