Hey all, was wondering how to go about doing a 5th gen to 6th gen zl1 bumper conversion. I have a 2012, 1lt v6 3.6.

Here’s the bumper I was looking for:

Is it as simple as buy the bumper and bring it to an AutoBody shop or do I have to buy headlights aswell or how do I actually go about doing this?

Headlights are optional the bumper will go over your existing headlights.

Your link is for Duraflex the thread I linked is for Ikon Motorsports

I personally bought Ikons.

The install isn't difficult if you want to DIY it.

That's dependent

It'll bolt right up.but you'll lose fog lights.

If you add lighting or change headlights be prepared for harnesses.

Mine are on order so I haven't got around to install yet. Plus my car was hit in a hit and run.

I bought 6th gen style headlights, 6th gen fogs.

I test fitted bumper and had it painted.

All depends on what look you want.

Sidemarkers and some other parts from your existing bumper will have to be transfered.

I have never heard of a Duraflex part that didn't need a large amount of body work to fit properly.

They are famous for poor fit and finish. I would go with Ikon personally.

Ikon is good. I have the front splitter from them and it's made really well.

Whoa...it even scrambled that. WTF? I guess they put some sort of filter on that blocks non site sponsors? I have't run into that before here.

*NOTE - 6th Gen Refresh Style Front Bumper Kit for any 5th Gen 2014-15 Camaro. 2010-13 fits with modifications

Also if you look for 2010-2013 theyll always include headlights. 2014-2015 you can get bumper only and its the eame bumper.

Okay thank you! Will my current headlights (non rs) work with the ikon bumper? It probably won’t look the best but as long as it works I can buy the headlights later
