What gears you running?
What gears are you 800+ rwhp guys running that drag race? Right now I’m at 700rwhp and run 3:91 gears. I think they’re a bit much for where I’m at now I’m know they’ll be to much when I upgrade the Procharger head unit. I want to go down to 3:45 since I’m sticking with the stock diff housing.

Don’t drag (I do road course) but 3.45s were the max for me @ 600 RWHP. I’m over 800 now and still have the 3.45s. Should have kept my 3.27s (I’m auto) so first gear would not be a waste :o)

3.23s, I'm at 630 now but will be 800 plus first of the year. I spin as it is on the streets with radials so that is why I went with that over the zl1 3.73. 3.73 may be better on a prepped surface right up to 800 but we all know you'll want more later and I think the 3.73 will become too much. If your Auto anways we already have a short first gear and some will start in 2nd.

I have a 4l80 in it so I know the gears are worlds apart from anything that are in there factory.

I had 3.73 and 3.23 with 750whp, preferred the 3.23. I have 3.25 and over 950whp now. I wouldn't do anything less.

850whp here. Going back to be retuned for 6-8 more psi Wednesday. Th400 trans,4.10 and 32.6" tall tires. Would be comparable to a 3.50 and 28 tall tire.

I have an M6 G8, which had 3:70s and I really liked them with basic boltons. Went turbo, drove for a bit at 600?hp and 3rd would light up at 80+mph...kinda fun? Went down to 3:45s and it's a lot better at 700hp. 6th isnt usable around town but that's ok. I'm now thinking about going down to 3:23s with a ZR diff.

With 315/50x17, my effective ratio is 3.50. Works well for drag racing. With street radials, it fun to light them up at 80. But make sure you drop it out of OD into D or you will fry your sprag. |

all I have ever asked is to see ONE car in the 8's with a 3.23, I am a 3.23 now and its too steep. 3.50 would be perfect if it existed.

He's talking about something that can actually hold power like the zl1, 9", s60, 12 bolt
