New front bumper thoughts

I got backed into at a parking lot. Of course no note or anything but hey what do you expect today.

So now I have the opportunity to replace the front end. I've thought of the traditional ZL1 and the new Gen6 ZL1 but may think about doing something different. I liked some of the retro Trans Am versions but don't seem to find where to buy.

What would you do ...?

I'd consider going with the stock front end with the Heritage grill.

Do the Trans Am conversion. Hopefully your car is black.

Your talking big money to change looks that do nothing for performance, just go with a stock front and heritage grill IMO also.

of course taste is subjective

Believe it or not some of us are more interested in looks than a slight
increase in performance. There's all kinds of Camaro fans here.

There was a post in a thread a while back about the different groups of fans, based on what they would recommend to people for that question that never seems to go away: What mod should I do first?

There was the Power Group, who are all about performance and going faster.

There was the Cosmetic Group, who are all about making their cars look good with lighting, paint, and accessories.

Can't really remember the other ones..

Me, I wouldn't bother. Id rather get something that will increase performance for that price tag of the bumper conversions. I like the Heritage grill, and plan to get one at some point.

Christian and Wayne, your cars look badass.

Do whatever you like best. An SS or ZL1 bumper are probably the more cost effective of the two.

The 2 posted above (the 2nd gen T/A and the 1st gen) are awful. The T/A is a Lingenfelter production and There is not a kit for it I don't think, if they even make it anymore. The 1st gen has both a front and rear kit and both do not look good on the gen 5. It's a clash of lines that just don't flow. The Gen1 front end looks extremely small on the bigger car and the tail kit doesn't fit the lines at all. Yuck all around. There's a "Z/TA" kit as well but not sure who makes it.

There's going to be a cost associated with a replacement bumper and paint anyway, so might as well spend a little more for something you like. an SS or ZL1 bumper isn't that cost prohibitive. Do it up if you like it, especially if you have plans to keep the car for an extended period of time.
