Thanks for the group pics. If you combine the 68 and 70 tail lights I think you end up with the 10-13 tail lights. Never realized that. All have the chrome trim ring too.

ChibiBlackSheep you got a fine looking pair of cars there. I love that '68!

It's evident that the 2010-13 taillights are modern squared off versions of the 1970-73 taillights, just as the 2010-13 front end is a modern squared off version of the 1969 front end.

I'm not knocking any of them. My favorite in terms of appearance, is the 2014-15 ZL1, because I believe it has the most accurate 1969 front and rear end.

It sounds like you were fortunate enough not to be around during the malaise years to witness an abomination named the Iron Duke.

I have a cousin who was 18 in 1982 and was part of that 12%.

where there is smoke there is fire. Ford is restructuring in Europe to the tune of 12000 employees, I'm a realist, it may be article #6 (I dint do a search). But given the money needed to make EV's be truly competitive with gas-engined cars..well the R&D $$$ has to come from somewhere, since the Gruberment isn't giving buyers $7500 incentive to go get a volt or a leaf..

My money says no new Z/28 either; good news/bad news. The good being prices for a collectible Z/28 will start to rise if this is true. Truly I wish Chevy would double down, since the RD money spent on the Corvette could be amortized by using the same hardware in Camaros..like the C6Z06 mechanical's in a Z/28 skin..and do the aforementioned 4 wheel drive hybrid. I keep hoping some US car maker will think EV in the front then conventional in the rear, and do a (lighter)weight 4 wheel drive...that would interest a lot of folks who aren't typical Chevy customers (the Ricers). ANd the loss of Camro for a while is truly the bad news. My Z/28 makes my blood boil in a way my Z06 just can't touch.

While they're at it: REDUCE WEIGHT..don't make two ton cars with 700 hp (or in the new Shelby Stag..760 hp). Every time I drive a Mopar..they just feel ponderous. Someone needs to do serious weight reduction; even on the current platform. Car makers just seem to LOVE adding weight.

One last thing...I have a base 5.0 Stang as my daily driver; and Ford is onto something w/variable valve timing & 4 valve/cylinder, as the coyote engine is really outstanding..but thirsty. Both my C6Z06 and the Z/28 get better gas mileage when you're tooling down the road on your drive into work.
