Louder exhaust

Hello I have a 2010 l99. I want to know if it’s possible to make the car sound any louder? Like legit hear mustangs drive by my house and hear the ruble as they pass. But I don’t get the same sound on my camaro. I deleted my mufflers and resonator and replaced it with an x pipe. The car is pretty loud I just want that growl sound as I’m driving by. Would disabling AFM help? I have stock headers and cats.

For one...Ford has a completely different engine and unique sound. So does GM. Love it for what it is and don't try to be something you're not. Throw on some headers, add hi Flo cats and a decent set of mufflers.......get a tune and enjoy.

I agree... Definitely need mufflers with the added headers.
When I got my Camaro it already had a muffler delete and I thought it sounded pretty good with AFM tuned out. Now that I have long tubes and high flow cats the car is extremely loud and sounds pretty raspy in higher RPM and the drone is pretty bad.
I've got a set of stock mufflers going on the car soon. OP you may want to have a set of mufflers handy if you add headers to your setup.

Long tube headers with or without cats and Solo Mach XL catback for an old school muscle car sound that won’t drone.

Can do slip ons for about 400-700 anything more than that n you’ll need a tune. I got high flow cats but they disintegrated. Now i have no cats. Stinky poopy

Agreed, OP. The LT's will make a significant difference and no cats even more. Just be ready for the cabin noise too.

Especially with the auto. The only people I ever see saying they have cabin noise or drone are the auto guys

X2 Same here and LOVE it. 92 decibels on cold start. Cruises nice and is quiet in and out of the car. Definitely makes the skinny pedal the loud pedal. It is like kicking a sleeping dog when you hit the throttle.

throwing this out there.....something to be said for being a little stealth. super loud draws some unwanted attention. if your doing a tune and going for increased performance great go for it, but if it's just to be loud and say look at me then i say leave that to the rice burners. JMO
a guy at my work "deleted" the mufflers on his charger and well it sounds like his muffler fell off.like shit and he more than likely lost some power.
