Gauge cluster programming
GTPprix just programmed my gauge cluster on my 2016 2LTRS to include the speed limit indicator. My car did not originally come with Mylink navigation. I had it added about two months after purchasing my car. Now you wouldn't know that my car did not originally come with the nav (unless you run the vin #). For those of you who let stuff like this bother them like with me, this is a lot cheaper than buying a new car just to get features your current car didn't come with. GTPprix programmed my cluster immediately and got it back to me within a couple of days. I highly recommend them.

Mine cost about $150. All I had done was to add the speed limit icon to the cluster. My car didn't originally come with navigation. I added the navigation module a while back but the speed limit icon needed to be programmed in.

Do you actually use the now 'built in' navigation? I have it on my car, but don't use it. I never realized the speed limit indicator was related to the navigation. I like that feature.

The best part of the navigation is the speed limit showing in the DIC and HUD. The only thing I've noticed is occasionally the SL disappears for no apparent reason on roads that it usually displays on. I don't know if this happens to everyone with factory nav or is a problem with nav added after the fact like in my car.

I HATE that it displays on the HUD. It's like a bright box. I wish it would only show my speed. Also, I've noticed the speed limit displayed is not always correct. |

I traded in my 2016 for a 2018 2LTRS convertible with Mylink navigation. And wouldn't you know it, even with originally optioned factory navigation, occasionally the speed limit info still disappears on roads where it normally would be there. Only it's not as often as it was with my previous setup. The factory setup seems to lock in to the satellites better than my previous setup, probably because the antenna is located in the shark's tooth rather than under the dash. In my convertible, the shark's tooth includes both the GPS antenna as well as XM. The AM/FM antenna is in the rear spoiler.
