What dose everybody think of the new C8 ?
I think it looks nice and the fact that you "could" get it under 60k is really refreshing.
I believe the majority will be 65k to 75k tho for the major Corvette guy's There saying under 3 seconds to 60 that's sick... Only thing I saw for me that I am concerned about was inside. The seats look tight I'm 6.2 320 so I hope I can fit lol The dam Viper I tried to sit in was a no go very little tight place for me lol. Anyway chime in what you guy's think.... Asab. |

If I'm whining, it should have stayed front engine rear wheel drive. As I suspected they eluded to AWD coming mentioning the first mid engine prototype.
Whining aside, the car has the guts of a Corvette for sure. I'm glad they stuck with a V8. I'm glad it's still "modestly" priced. I'm glad that it will be capable of staying up with and in many cases embarrassing cars many times its price point. I find it humerus that they mentioned being able to fit 2 sets of golf clubs in their presentation. I think the car will sell pretty well, but I think there will be a lot of purists that will snub their noses at it as well.

The first two seat options for the car look like they will fit big people no problems. My concern is whether there will be enough head and leg room for taller drivers. I have to cram into the current C7 with my head grazing the ceiling and my legs screaming for more room.

Win. Big league.
The C7 became antiquated overnight. The C8 is going to draw traditional, and non traditional Corvette buyers. This is HUGE!

Wish we built both. The C7 was a true Corvette. All we did is copy a Ferrari. Granted, IT'S A STEAL! I just don't go for the shape. America's sports car? Not to me, when all I see is a copy of a car that has been built for years overseas.
Again, the price and performance are nothing short of incredible, but the look ain't. Same designers that turned our Silverado into a Ford/Ram/Nissan clone. Chevy's should look like a Chevy, not someone elses ride. My 2 cents. |

Win....I don't care what they call it...that is cutting edge tech for a Merican car!
Vette purists aside, it really is amazing what GM's engineers have created. How can one not like it? The Vette would've been mid engine a long time ago but the penny counters at GM kept killing the project. |

The interior measurements are very close to the Camaro. .5" less headroom and 1" less leg room.
Hip room is 2" less due to that big tunnel running down the middle. Have to sit in one to find out I'm 6'3. I could wear a helmet in the Camaro, so it looks good for headroom in the new C8....
