I was invincible once. Now I have 60 % hearing in both ears and need to read lips in crowded rooms to hear what people say to me...

My iPod through my camaro hasn't hit 20 yet. 19 shakes the windows and can be heard from the outside. I cannot imagine the damage you are doing to yourself with the volume set to 45...

C'mon bro, I didnt call you an idiot because you don't know how to operate your mp3 player, but I'll try not to take offense to your opinion of my post.

No we should disregard your entire way of thinking over this topic. The 'above' post you mention once again does not relate to any of your pointless decibel measurements, because you do not know what i mean when i say 'loud', and my version of loud cant be compared to what you think i mean when i said loud because you are not here with me listening to my mp3s. I asked a simple question looking for an answer but you wanted to go out of your way to give me decibel measurements, a lecture I didn't need, and personal insults.
I did not call you an idiot, i said your post was idiotic and an incoherent rambling (and yes glambert1, to quote Billy Madison haha). You called my view uneducated and naive, when you had no idea what i was talking about because you couldnt hear my mp3's.

If you want to preach to 'uneducated and naive people', go do it in your own thread.

For the people who helped and provided answers instead of preaching, thanks. I will try the suggestion to normalize my mp3s or just try the AMP route

I tried 45. It was so loud that I couldn't read the post. Just kidding, MY sounds great at about 20 with the ipod. But, loud for some is soft to others. I remember the days of trying to make my ears bleed.

I honestly didn't read every word of this thread, but check and adjust the automatic volume control that adjusts to your vehicle speed.

Just a suggestion.

Mine goes to 46 .

I noticed after plugging my Garmin in the AUX input once that the volume too was very low. Playing my music on a USB thumb drive and the highest my volume level has been is 14; which is loud to me. I haven't tried to play music off my phone via the bluetooth option yet.

That is cool that the new iphone worked out for you. Good thing most people replace cell phones every couple years to keep the technology advancing!

I Like to Rock

I listen to my radio loudly most all of the time. I have a 2ss with the BA upgrade and on 45 it is LOUD. I go to rock concerts all the time and do know what loud is. I use the USB most of the time and haven't even tryed my AUX inputs yet so really couldn't help you, but just wanted to let you know the BA upgrade I feel was well worth the money. I cant hear any distortion at 45 either. Maybe I just licked out. I do know what good sound is though. I have A top of the line Denon (Marantz) with Mirage and Bose speakers at the house. I like my music. Course you never know maybe I cant hear from all the loud music. LOL

After reading a few of these replies, has anyone suggest increasing the volume of the songs BEFORE they go into whatever device you're using to play them on your camaro? You can get programs (for free IIRC) that will boost (preamp I THINK it's called) the volume of the songs.

Lol to the people ridiculing this dude for having his stuff in the range of hearing loss...

MAYBE HE DOESNT WANT TO HEAR NAMBY PAMBIES LIKE SOME GOING OOOOHHHH THATS BAD FOR YOU. So the quicker the hearing loss occurs the better.

=p

Plus, some of us plan till were 35 then anything after that is uncharted territory.

Maybe it's a Canadian thing, but evidently the hearing loss made you forget about adding the little, namby pambie apostrophe thingy-do.....
