I currently own a 2014 Camaro SS which is turbo charged by the On3Performance Turbo Kit. I have recently ran into a problem with the car. It all started off with a notification when my car was idling for about 20 minutes. I got a message saying my power from my engine has been reduced and to service traction control. After 5 ignition cycles, all the service lights turned off. I now have problems about once a week where my car does not want to start for about 4 ignition cycles. When I plug in a code scanner, the only code I get is "ECM:P0102: Mass or Volume Air Flow A Circuit Low" The turbo kit that is installed does not have a MAF sensor, or one that I can find anyway. My AFR is now at 14-15 at idle when it usually sits around 18. AFR also bounces quite a lot when at idle. I have checked all exhaust/turbo fittings and have found nothing that could be concidered a Turbo Leak. I have not been able to find a vaccum leak either. Has anyone experienced this or know what it may be? I really dont want to have to pay someone hundreds to look at it. Thank you all in advance.

There has to be a MAF somewhere, otherwise how would the ecu know how to run the injectors, adjust timing, etc??
Or am I missing something?? |

I have a MAP sensor which you can run in place of a MAF sensor... I have not been able to locate a MAF sensor on this setup. I bought the car about 2 months ago, and just recently ran into this problem.

18:1 at idle seems awfully lean. I don't run a turbo, maybe there is something difference about them but on my supercharged one I bounce between 14.2 and about 15.5 at idle, it is supposed to bounce around as the O2S read the A/F and adjust accordingly back and forth. I also have a MAF and a MAP, not sure why there would be a kit that got rid of a MAF they are much more accurate than MAP alone, but again I don't know the turbo kit setups. What are you reading for A/F under boost? Should be down under 12:1 I would think, if it's higher I would suspect a tuning issue or a leak somewhere.

Who tuned the car? Sounds like a defective maf sensor or something in the tune perhaps.

I'd follow the MAF splice and see where it goes, maybe someone decided to relocate the MAF in the hidden ducting behind the bumper. two wires from my MAF connector were disconnected to plug into a separate AIT sensor, that may also be what you are seeing. I can't imagine not running a MAF seems counter intuitive to me. Plus you are getting codes for the MAF. If you weren't before and put miles on it without issue then this code popped up there must be something to it. With a MAF unplugged it will throw a code instantly.

Just gonna throw this out that Its possible that the car is speed density tuned
Also, its a know fact that the FAST LSXR intake manifold is known to leak in boosted applications i would check the manifold for a vacuum leak. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
