I believe he's referring to the 2.0L turbo 4 found in the Cobalt SS (and others). And it should be noted that the Cobalt (or pretty much any car that engine is installed in) weighs about 900 lbs less than the Camaro, so they'd better get superior fuel economy.

It doesn't. I believe GM did some testing and it didn't do much better than the V6 in that department.

Until Proof is provided of this.... it is a Hoax.

Save money? How... How would changing the platform just within a year save money?
With GM's financial issues this would be a stupid change.
Don't see why you all are for bringing mis-information to others... Until it is given a source for this info, it is False.

I'm also ashamed to see Number 3 even contribute to this mis-information.

Well when you're only selling 80K a year and the target was 300K a year..

Might as well fix the problem, right? Good god you're gullible.

Goooooood question. I would have thought a FWD Camaro would have been like bigger than PWA in 24 hours.

Everyone knew it was a matter of time... We've known for almost a year the ZETA was headed out the door.

John Lingenfelter was doing incredible things with the little motors before he left...RIP Mr. Lingenfelter.

A Cobalt sized car with the Camaro body lines.

... Oh yeah, I love torque steer
