I invited my cousin who is the photographer in the family. She may come either with me or join us at Hocking Hills and help with pictures.

Making it to the Hocking Hills drive was jrhaus76 & wife, EarliestMemory & daughter & friend, CamaroSS_L2S & wife, GC-Camaro & wife, bartking & wife and me.

I enjoyed this event. The best thing for me was watching the caravan of Camaros driving through the scenic roads. I wish we had a video of that as it was a beautiful sight.

jrhaus76 - Thanks for your organization work and leading the drive.

bartking - I hope we did wear you out. That first attraction stop (Rock House) was the hardest one to walk.

GC-Camaro - Thanks for letting us try your Hurst shifter.

CamaroSS_LS3 - I'll try and listen closer for any sounds my car is making and let you know if I hear any of the ones you described.

It is interesting how so many of us are in an IT related field. I missed not seeing some of you other members. Hopefully you can make the next event.

If we do Hocking Hills again, I think we should do the following:
- Meet at Hocking Hills are closer to the area
- Drive all around the area first before noon or 1pm when traffic gets heavier
- After the driving, pick one stop and have a picnic
- Do it in warmer weather

Somebody else will have to post pictures as my camera was worthless.

You're welcome and it was my pleasure! I agree with your suggestions even though I enjoyed the drive in and out as much as the day there. There is just something about the sight of a bunch of Camaros on the road... A picnic would be fun. I think we should also consider a picnic in the spring/summer at VOA where we met the first time. Much closer and would likely get a much better turn out.

As for pics, here is a few. When I get to somewhere my broadband will work faster i will upload more. I live in the sticks and it is really slow with pics. I have about 70 and they came out pretty good. Unfortunately, most do not have the cars in them just the beautiful scenery around the area. EM, I will get you your "little ninja" pics to you Mrs. jr said she was really digging my ninja skills! I love climbing rocks, I could do it all day but I tent to venture off the trails a bit...

Did anyone get a pic at the restaurant with the challenger??? I didn't.

We had a great time! What a beautiful drive~ both cars and scenery! I saw a lot more color on the way there and home than in Hocking Hills - most of that was still green but still beautiful. The girls thought it was funny that all our cars were either neutral or fall colors. We also got some nice physical activity in. My daughter normally takes fencing on Sundays, and now I feel better about letting her skip today. It also reminded me of how out of shape I am but I love hiking and was determined to do all of the treks. As much as I love driving my car, I also liked that we got out quite a bit and had the activity, rahter than just sitting.

Yes, those of you we saw at VOA who weren't able to come today, you were missed!

I must have missed the day job conversation. So now I'm curious (nosy) - who else does IT work? I know heinz is a programmer, I do web application development for USAF projects (what else, in Dayton?).

My camera battery died halfway through - forgot to charge it last night . It's charging now - I'll try to post some pics tomorrow night.

Great idea! And thanks for the pics, jrhaus! I'll look forward to seeing the others when you have time to post them. My daughter was amused and amazed at your "ninja" skills LOL.

jrhaus76 - Thanks for your message....I should have checked my emails prior to heading out on Sunday...duh..I could have used you phone number to find out where you all were. We still had a nice ride. Saw a Corvette group (about 15 cars) at Old Man in the Cave. The best licence plate was B4M2OLD.

Colors were greats and the ride was nice. Better planning on our part should let us join in next time. Glad to hear everyone had a great time.

I agree. I like events where there is some activity. My legs are sore this morning though.

CamaroSS_LS3 & wife setup software for dealers.

I setup Hyperion software (Oracle owned now) which is used by large companies to help consolidate their accounting system numbers for financial reporting.

Another meet a VOA park next year is fine. We might pick up Dayton/Cincy people but loose Columbus area people.

I favor rotating meets between the Dayton, Cincy and Columbus areas.

If someone is into drag or road racing, perhaps they could step up with a idea and organize a meet at a track next year.

I like these ideas. I wouldn't say I'm "into" drag racing, but I took my car to the track last summer. Kilkare has Test & Tune every Thurs. - we might plan to meet up for that once in a while? Maybe my husband won't be mad at his Trans Am by then. (It got better times on drag radials than the slicks he spend $500 on.)

Hello all. We had a great time on the HH cruise especially the early spirited driving between jrhaus76, GC-Camaro and us until we realized that we were losing the pack due to EarliestMemory having her snow tires installed.  I was impressed with how fast bartkings Camaro seemed from that one intersection where it took me longer to catch you guys than I thought it would. That V6 is a very impressive motor.

We wanted to thank heinzd01 for all his hard work in organizing this cruise.

EarliestMemory, Mrs. CamaroSS_LS3 and I are both in the IT industry. We manage software development projects.
I hope others took better pictures yesterday because I for some reason I only snapped one car picture. It is the same angle as the one from jrhaus76 but may be a higher resolution so I will attach it again below.

I love to push my car hard whenever possible but there are just not enough safe open roads to do it not to mention these SS’s will break the law in less than 5 seconds. 

I was planning on going to the Talladega track experience in September but got too busy at work to take it off. Earlier this summer I contacted Mid-Ohio to see what it would take to get on their track. All I got was pointed to the following link but did not pursue it further.
http://www.midohio.com/Track-Rental

My dream would be to get on the Mid-Ohio race course and really stretch out my cars legs safely and legally. I would prefer to get on a road course because drag racing is too short and the hard launches are too abusive for my taste on the drive train, Yea the cars under warranty but I hate visiting the service department and I want my car to last several years. A road course would give you lots of speed time and fun curves.

We should come up with an official car club group name where we could then rent the track for a day.

I'd like to do a road course for the same reasons. I may do this with the Camaro5 Fest.

When coming back on SR-22, we had some good, fun passes. I probably irritated jrhaus76 slowing back down to near legal speeds after some quick passes. I'm sure EM can keep up when she wants to. She had two young energetic girls to attend to. She lost me before on I75 coming back from VOA park.

I checked out the Mid-ohio link - that road course looks like fun!

LOL yeah, you guys had a close one with Johnny Law one time! All I could think after I saw him sitting there, was, given the choice between pulling over a black Camaro, a silver one, and a red one, which would he pick?

LOL - I remember that. But last night you were the Knight Rider! And yeah, I had passenger-seat and backseat drivers saying, "Come on mom, go for it! Come on, you gotta catch up!" Although that was nice of Camaro_SS_LS3 to blame my tires on the way out there. I have to own up, I just don't get as aggressive on curvy roads I don't know.
