Dash scratches and peeling
Anyone dealing with scratches on their dash? Specifically between the glovebox and the leather portion on the passenger side and then on the rubberized upper portion of the dash? I was spitting shining what appeared to be a scuff and accidentally scraped off a portion of the rubberized dash with my fingernail. Seems way to easy to have been done applying little pressure and then slipping with a fingernail (last photo). See photos for reference.

It looks like a woman was sitting there carving up the dashboard with her high heel shoes while they crossed their legs. I hate when women do that in the car.
To lessen the scratches, I would try burnishing them out with an artists gum eraser. I've had good luck doing that to the sill cover on the driver's side where my foot accidentally drags over it sometimes. |

That is one reason I removed the passenger seat from my car.

Not a bad idea. Might have to do that. She's about to be retired from DD to weekend car anyway.

Good to know. I would like to start tracking the car regularly as well so I will probably be doing that as well. I'm 6'7" so the driver seat touches the backseat anyway. Only two people have ever ridden in the backseat, both small women.

I'll just keep my thoughts to myself about this deal. Cause a lot will not like my answer cause the owner of the car is just as much to blame as the one who does it. If shoes or feet are the reason or kids.

I saw from other forums that using a heat gun can make the scratches less visible.
