But that isn't the reason an LT/RS wouldn't have a spare.

Looks white or silver to me along with the sound deadened and shadow. I’m not getting the hate on the OP. Is there some bad history going on?

I bought the aftermarket spare. I just don’t trust the goop stuff and inflator, especially on trips in the boonies. It’s heavier and a bit bulkier than I’d prefer but it’s worth the piece of mind.

No offense, but you need glasses. It's obvious from the pic posted there is no sound deadner or huge shadow making the trunk look black like that especially on a summit white car.

Actually, the spare tire trunk pic looks like it was taken from a AGM car.

If not, possibly it was involved in a rear end collision and it was pieced together from a different colored car or they used black ELPO primed GM parts and didn't paint them Summit white when they put the car back together.

Mine does but I bought the car used so maybe some one added it.

Someone else may have chimed in but the spare was an option on the 14 v6. It’s saved my but once.

Sorry to disagree, but not true. My 2012 RS V6 did NOT come with a spare, and I was the original purchaser! I picked one up immediately--along with a jack. But RS V6 Camaros weren't equipped with spare; came with the inflator pump and slime.

Maybe some case with the options and others didn’t! Or maybe the original owner put one in idk! But if yours came with one that’s a money saver!
