Pop the drain plug, change the oil filter while it's draining below the car, put it all back together, fill and be done. When I had my LFX, I would change it pretty frequently. Probably every 2 months ~4000 miles. As long as it was a nice day out, and it was close to needing to be changed, I would just change it.

I don't drive but maybe 1500 miles per year. According to my OLM, I could probably go 3+ years before a change. However, I am not comfortable leaving oil in it that long..so I make sure to do an annual oil change, even if it really isn't needed.

I'm only driving mine about 500 to 700 miles a year so I guess I should change it every year. In Minnesota, wonder if it is best to change it in late fall so it has new oil over the winter or in the spring so it has new oil for the little summer driving I do.

I only change my oil twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. The oil life monitor is usually around 25 to 30 percent when I do this.

Throughout the fluctuations of temperature in the winter (unless you are in a climate controlled garage) there will be condensation that forms and dissipates all through the season. Best to just start the year with fresh oil.

In the winter I leave mine insured, battery in etc. and take it out about once a month when the roads are dry in the middle of the night, drive it about 5 to 10 miles to warm everything up etc. I hate letting all the seals etc dry out over an entire winter.

I've always heard to do it in the fall since the oil accumulates acid and it's better to not let it set with used oil. I've known people that would do it in the fall and again in the spring without actually driving in between, but this was on motorcycles so it didn't take as much oil.

I changed it last weekend using Mobil 1 5W30W annual protection. Walmart was out of the regular 5W30 and I did not want to use the High Mileage stuff, Car has 7400 miles on it, I only drove it 450 miles this past year. Mine is the SS L99. I read some bad things about the annual Mobil 1. Mostly that it did not last 20k miles as advertised. I think I will go back to the original 5W30W next year.
