I hope your coworkers are not giving you a hard time about the new temporary ride.

I told some of my co-workers that I've traded up... we had a good chuckle.
I was not sorry to see it go when I picked up the Camaro this afternoon. The car feels great... feels better than ever. These guys are a top notch outfit. A bit expensive... but you get what you pay for and when it comes to my ride, it should be nothing but the best. They said the 'cleared' P0121 code hiding in the engine module computer was due to a dirty throttle body. They took it off and cleaned the internals. I did not have a cel, but it was sitting in the computer... probably after I cleared it. Nothing ever came back but it was still there apparently. The shaking as mentioned was due to lower control arm bushing failure. They did not keep the bushings... but apparently the steel tubing was badly worn. I guess not even the strongest bushings are invincible. An alignment was done afterwards. The kink in the purge canister line was fixed. They also installed a new CAI intake boot as I had previously modified that boot to properly fit my MAF sensor. Looks better than my 'mod' lol. Lastly, the air bag light was not yet addressed. They would have had to keep it til Monday for that, so I'm taking it back next week to finally get that done. All in all I am happy so far. Steering feels much better and tight... even more than how it felt when it was having the issue during the day, when it actually drove normal. Feels like a rock on rails again... ![]() True test, once again, will be early tomorrow morning. But I am confident the car is fixed. |

The car feels great this morning. Very much in control, firm, no shaking whatsoever. I have full confidence again.
Definitely not the tires or wheels. Cold at 40 degrees F this morning, didn't feel any flat spots. Just perfect steering. Took it out for a 2hr cruise, and with a fresh oil change, a clear filter and throttle body, the car feels light as a feather. Almost a decade later, still very happy with this car! Full credit to Connie & Dick's in Claremont CA for the repair. You guys fixed my issue when other 'professionals' couldn't. |

The name "Connie and Dick's" sounds like a bar or a restaurant. lol! Glad you finally got it sorted out.
I wonder why the dealer didn't want to deal with it. Do they just like doing warranty repairs and easy maintenance stuff like oil changes? Ugh! |
