It was a long job and I can still see some resin on paint job like misty film, it wouldn't come off...any suggestions? However, I was stunned at the finish I was able to get..I used dawn soap for wash, Mother's clay bar kit w/ detail spray and used a orbital polisher to bring out slick shine....was toasted and didn't deal with wax lol.....

Good job. Black is such a difficult color to maintain, since it shows everything. But it looks amazing when done right.

Dawn dish soap is not a good idea as it breaks down the clear coat and dries out the rubber overtime. It leaves a dull appearance(oxidation) on your car. It is an abrasive soap. I’m not trying to tell you how to wash/care your car just trying to give some advice.

What a great looking sinister beauty. Which orbital sander did you get? I just finished waxing my 2LS the ol' school way now my hand is frozen in "claw like" position.

Nice parking spot. I think everywhere needs a few spots like that for Camaro parking only.

I totally agree and only used it this time to strip the cheap wax that you could actually see on the coat either the dealer or previous owner used(I've had the car 9 days)....I still had a light shade of oxidation especially on hood that I couldn't remove esp with clay bar....any suggestions in that? The car came put great when u get close close u can see the oxidation that won't come up on hood

Luxury car care auto spa polisher for 49.99 at walmart....has 5 speeds...I used speed 2, sometimes 3 cause the car had some tough spots...great orbital polisher .... I literally just sat and stared at my car it came out so well....on a side note, your car looks great !

I would try a very mild abrasion compound and apply it about half and half with a liquid wax. The mild abrasion should cut a little bit and the mixture with liquid wax will also help “water down” the mild abrasive compound. Follow up with a light buff with straight liquid wax.
