Strange dyno numbers on ls3 with lsa
Hi, are there any tuners out there that can explain why my car dynoed with higher torque numbers than hp? Ive looked at many ls3 conversions and I have yet to see one like mine. This is a chassis dyno, stock ls3 with bbk headers, Mahle pistons 10.4 to 1, 2.55 upper pulley,650cc injectors, zl1 fuel pump. 6 sp manual.Thanks

When I installed the eldelbrock 2.3 pd blower on my stock ls3, it turned 522 rwhp and 566 rwtq. All motors vary in production.

Doesn't make sense why other lsa conversions with the same kit produce different hp and torque curves. Thanks for the feed back, I feel something is amiss,

I'm no expert, but i'm guessing thats why. Gotta get a cam that will let her breath better up top.
I'm putting down more power than you on a stock ls3 and a LSA stock pulley at only 5psi, but I've got ported heads and a fairly aggressive cam. You're making more torque down low which also makes me believe its due to the cam. Go through a BTR blower cam in and it will change everything.

LS3 with stock cam and headers typically only make 560 RWHP so your in the ball park. The 1900 blower hits harder at lower RPM than say a Maggie 2300 or a Whipple 2900, so the torque curves will be different for each blower. Larger blowers spinning slower make more HP than TQ Small blowers spinning fast make more TQ than HP. Ted.

Hi Ted, would a cam increase the HP and would retain the torque ? If so what cam specs would you recommend? I thought about using the LS9 cam but didn't think it would do much.

In 2010 when I installed the Edelbrock E-Force S/C I got 546/rwhp and 522/rwtq on a Dyno Jet .
