GM has no clue how to manage the Camaro. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it die again.

The Muscle Car is sales are down Mustang is still number 1 with Camaro number 3

https://www.torquenews.com/106/ford-...3rd-2019-sales

"worst full sales year since the nameplate returned for 2010."

"but the sixth gen car clearly missed the mark. The Camaro hasn’t beaten the Mustang in monthly sales since October of 2017 and the last time that the Chevy coupe outsold the Challenger was a month later, in November 2017"

Best buying experience I've ever had was with Toyota in Oct 2019 when they were doing clearance for the 2020 models.

We bought a Barcelona Red Tundra Double Cab 6.5ft bed with SR5 and TRD Sport 4x4 packages with all options, 5.7L DOHC Flex Fuel, spray in bed liner, predator tube step, etc.

The truck msrp was almost $47k. Got them down to $39k with $3k customer cash back from Toyota and other discounts. With tax, titles and tags, it ended up $41k out the door.

They didn't try to BS us at all.

If all dealerships would work honest deals, they would sell a lot more vehicles IMHO.

Ford, Dodge and Chevy dealerships are consistent in trying to rip people off.
Not bad at all. Decent looking truck at a good price. GM needs to work at this. The Silverado's price is ok, but (sorry) its ugly. To get a Sierra costs at least 10k more. If it weren't for my fondness of GM engineering I'd look at a Toyota or Nissan pickup as well. Its not impossible for GM and Ford to lose the pickup market as well. They need to keep up the momentum and fiercely compete in this genre.

Dodge pushes them so aggressively it's not hard to see why it's had a nice uptick in movement lately.

Power dollars rebates, aggressive lease deals, 84 month financing(insanity if you ask me)

It'll be interesting to see if Ford lumps in the Mach-E into their Mustang sales

If they can get away with lumping every pickup bigger than the Ranger into 'F-series', why not do the same with everything that starts with 'Mustang'?

FCA has also kept the Challenger fresh and interesting (despite the very dated chassis upon which it is based) through frequent and continual updates and the offering of numerous trim/option packages (e.g., Scat Pack, Hellcat, Demon, etc.).

Also, advertising to the target base.

Are the 650 750 etc really lumped in with F - series sales? Because according to Ford Authority they do NOT include them

http://fordauthority.com/fmc/ford-mo...sales-numbers/

According to that it only includes F-150,250,350,450

No different than Silverado having 1500-3500 included

Another way to view this is that in a shrinking market segment, Mustang and Camaro gained market share in 2019. Challenger fell.

Key point is that the segment is shrinking.

When the gen6 Camaro debuted with annual sales of 72,705 units, some said that volume doomed it to cancellation. 2019 Mustang and Challenger volume are now lower.

Since 2015, sales have fallen for each
37.7% Camaro
40.8% Mustang
8.1% Challenger

Total segment is down 31.8%

sure a good thing they 're-freshed' Camaro styling for 2019 so another 2,700 in sales could drop.

hard to figure what's going on overall., especially with a supposedly improving economy. Corvette sales have also dropped off way off the last few years and the C7 only got a 6 year run so it's not exactly long in the tooth.

Corvette sales dropped because the C8 was the world's worst kept secret. Everyone decided to wait for it.
