GForce 1 piece driveshaft / I DO NOT RECCOMEND

What a hiatus.

My 3.5" G Force aluminum driveshaft arrived on Wednesday, so I took it to be installed today. The included instructions stated that the rubber boot side be installed in the differential end.

So the driveshaft was put it. No noise on the lift when engaged, but when put back on the ground and driven, it was making a noise. So I called GForce and spoke with Billy, he asked to check the driveshaft, no signs of any marring, but the counterweight was hitting the heat shield that goes over the gas tank.

It was removed, damaged, and again no noise on the lift. Took the car for a short drive, and again …..noise....the driveshaft was now hitting the E-Brake cable. So the EBrake was removed.

The job ended up taking over 2 hours longer than it should have, resulting in me having to pay more, and ruining the rear heat shield. And I still have to take it back to have the driveshaft put in the proper direction.

So I call GForce back, and Austin answers the phone. I explain to him everything that occurred, and he puts me on hold for 5 minutes. Comes back and tries to blame it on the installation. The shaft was installed exactly as the directions that came with it stated.

Then he asks me to read the directions sent. After I read them, he states that these directions are for a MUSTANG, not a Camaro. So had they sent the PROPER installation instructions, NONE of this would have occurred.

So then he want to know who I bought it from. Why does this even matter? The person who I bought it from just sends the order to them. The invoice I received clearly stated 5th Gen Auto.

He then tells me someone will get back with me before they close today at 5pm. It's 4:45 and no one calls so I call them.
The person who answers the phone keeps mentioning a MUSTANG, after I had already told him and everyone else there that my car is a 2012 Camaro L99.

He then states that the driveshaft can go in either way, then I ask why I was told I was sent the wrong directions by Austin. He starts talking about a Mustang again? WTF?

Had I been sent the PROPER installation instructions, and had the rubber boot side on the transmission side, where it is SUPPOSED to be, none of these issues would have occurred. The job would have been done in 1 hour instead of 3, and I wouldn't have a ruined rear heat shield.

He HANGS UP ON ME.

I'm supposed to be responsible for damage to my car because they sent me the WRONG installation instructions?
I'm supposed to drive my car and run it at the dragstrip with the driveshaft in backwards?

Anyone here thinking of dealing with this company, BEWARE. They send you the wrong instructions, and blame it on YOU. RIDICULOUS!

That's what they included with the driveshaft in the box when it arrived, this slip of paper inside the ziplock bag the nuts/bolts were in.

What I'm wanting from them as a result of all of this I believe is more than fair.

Refund of additional 2 hours of labor required due to improper instructions being sent.

Replacement of heat shield.

Additional labor costs for flipping shaft in proper direction, installation of heat shield and E-brake.

The total is less than $300. I'm not trying to put a dime in my pocket.

None of these issues would have occurred had the proper instructions been sent. The banging against the heat shield, and the E-brake did not occur when the car was on the lift, and put in drive to rotate the driveshaft. Only when the car was driven a very short distance.

It just blows my mind that they say it's the installers fault, when he installed it they way these directions they sent state it should be. Even after Austin @ GForce tells me the WRONG instructions were sent with my driveshaft.

Filed a BBB complaint, will see where that goes, if I have to I will take them to court.

You could have it worse drive it 30 miles and shifting into third gear this happens and dss explains that you half the rated hp of the driveshaft. My gforce stuff has had better instructions than you show. Name: 3D892D51-9B5C-47D7-976D-2D2814FD2A16.jpeg

Yes I guess it could have been worse. I'm glad it wasn't. I wouldn't wish what happened to your DSS on anyone.

Sure wish GForce had sent me the same installation instructions you got from them, none of this would have happened.

But if they take absolutely no responsibility for their mistake, they will undoubtedly do this to another customer as well.
More than getting what is right in my situation, I want them to realize they have an obligation to include proper installation instructions, and they can't just ditch it off on the installer when he is just following the instructions they sent, when they sent the WRONG ones.
EDIT: Also, so anyone on here who may have bought one of these waiting for it to be built, or buys one in the future, understands which end the side with the boot goes on, the transmission side, in case they get the same incorrect installation instructions, so they can avoid the same problems I had.

Ridiculously bad customer service and morals.
