TRANS COOLER QUESTION
Hi guys. So i am in the middle of my build. I purchased a 40k tru cool trans cooler and am curious how you guys installed it. I have a 15 camaro ss with a 6L80E. Which line is the feed and return on the bottom of the rad and how did you guys safely make the connection? Any better option than what I'm doing here? Will be running a 3800 stall. Thanks Ryan

This may help:
https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showp...postcount=1689 https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showp...postcount=1702 https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showp...postcount=1703 https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showp...postcount=1709 I used my original adm hoses and made it work... I road raced and my trans temps were fantastic... My build thread (yes it’s long) show the ADM kit install and also when I went with the bigger B&M cooler. I have a lot of other experiments too ;o) -Don

Thank you for the links. So all i have to do is cut one of my lines and add a compression style AN fitting to adapt to the factory lines? Looks like i can cut the end off one of my factory lines and go from there

Should i still use the factory cooler? I bought a mishimoto radiator so im thinking i should go through that and then into the trucool cooler then back to the trans?

I bypassed the factory cooler. I also got a kit from ADM — made the install easier.
Andy may still have those... -Don

I bypassed my radiator cooler, but did add in the thermostat control. I was afraid that during cold weather, it would take way to long to come up to temp. Even with the thermostat it takes a while, and I think this may have been the cause of some my "shift flare".
