I need ProCharger help

So I bought a new blower and other supporting stuff to replace my D1SC I had before. Got everything buttoned up, and my tuner said he saw a peak of ~6lbs on the Dyno. Made 490whp on no timing. This setup should be making ~15-17lbs and nearing 1000whp.

I did a compression test - good compression 140-150psi all cylinders. Checked all hoses and charger housing for leaks. Redid my vacuum lines and routed the the red race valve vacuum indepently. I've pulled and reseated the intake many times. The car is drivable and I actually got dusted by a newer chevy Silverado at 80% throttle on the highway.

A friend said it could be a stuck valve but wouldn't that get smacked by a piston immediately? I thought it couldn't possibly be the procharger itself as it's spinning perfectly fine with no unusual noises (aside from the coffee grinder whine at idle)

My aeroforce gauges are showing 0psi on boost. I didn't touch the red race valve during the build but it's fluttering now. Procharger told me the valve would still seal enough to hold some boost pressure. I'm starting to run out of hope as to what would cause such a loss. Anyone have anything?

I don't know that system personally. But I'd be inclined to smoke test it and see if you can find a leak. Seems to be leaking somewhere. It would be pretty noticeable if you had valves hanging open you'd be getting misfires but you can perform a leakdown test if you suspect it. Is there a way you can close off the wastegate?

I don't have a waste gate. I have a bypass valve. I'm gonna replace it tomorrow and see how it goes. If it doesn't fix the problem I'm probably gonna give up and take my procharger off

Yea whatever you call it on those lol. I would eliminate that as a possibility. I'd be curious to know, i almost went with a procharger

You must have alot of overlap with your cam!! 140-150psi seems kind of low to me. With a bent valve, you would have 0 compression, so you can definitely rule that out.

I second the smoke check. Hope you get it figured out!!

So i reread your post. One thing strikes me as odd, you were at around 6psi on the dyno, but you said your gauge is reading 0? Is it a manual gauge fed by a vacuum line? If so the line to that, or gauge itself might be leaking.
You also said 0 timing, do you mean it is pulling 0 timing? I would think you would be putting out more than 490whp NA on a 427 unless you dropped the compression quite a bit.

Ya man what he said, something aint right. ProChargers are amazing systems and i've used them on numerous vehicles including my former 2SS/RS Camaro. With the right components they make a ton of power.

So I bought a new blower and other supporting stuff to replace my D1SC I had before
my tuner said he saw a peak of ~6lbs on the Dyno
My aeroforce gauges are showing 0psi on boost

When you say you bought a new blower is it Brand New ?
In either case I guess your saying I installed a ProCharger have no boost and im not making any extra power.

Yes the Bypass / Surge / Blow Off / Valve would definitely be the first place to look. Bottom line is if you have a good gauge and show 0 Boost (and arent making any extra power) you have a bad valve, leak, crack, or opening somewhere in the plumbing or intercooler (providing the Blower is good).

Well I found out a hose was loose. That's why I saw 0lbs. The setup is making 5-6lbs on WOT. I replaced my BOV with a brand new one and it's still not making boost.

The valve is still fluttering. I checked all my vacuum lines and the valve has a direct line to the intake with no leaks. I did swap the stock intake to a holley EFI but I'm not sure that would cause problems. The current setup should still see 16-18lbs

Take it to a shop and have them smoke test everything. If you are getting no belt slip and your pulleys are correct sizes for the boost your are expecting and there are no leaks then I would be sending it in to procharger

Called procharger. They're at a loss too. They said if the blower is spinning it shouldn't have any issue moving air. I'm about to sell this pos

I agree with the people above. Do a smoke test and if it turns out it’s not leaking, you can 100% cross it off the list.

I don't have a blower but if your BOV is fluttering letting air bypass I would say you need to find out why. Not the blowers fault.

I'm gonna take it to a shop in okc tomorrow. On a side note, the new open red race valve that I put on the car SHOULD sound like a 747 at idle. I'm hearing no air through it at all. I'm slightly confused now.

maybe the charger just isn't moving air.
