Hello LPE guys. I have a few questions and believe you guys can probably answer them. So first off my could should be arriving mid December last I heard from my dealer and have been considering having it shipped to LPE. First off what is the difference from the base install and the 570 package to justify the extra two grand? It says fuel system upgrade and cold air. Is that all? And I read somewhere that one of you had your car sent to the dealer like two miles from there, what was the dealer and how would I go about setting that up? Thanks.

570 Here had his drop shipped to the local dealer near Lingenfelter, I think speed may have too. I went with the 650 package right off the bat. Several others here started at the 570 and upgraded to the 650 after some consideration.
The upgrade 570 package includes the full Lingenfelter 3 year 36K warranty. This is a huge piece of mind for little coin.
I spent a lot of time researching where to send my modern muscle car, you won't be sorry going to Lingy. I can highly recommend the 650 package!

I have no doubt the 650 package is the way to go except one problem. I'm 22 years old and I'm getting together everything I have just to be able the pay for for the 570 right now. But the extra for the warranty on the 570 package seems like it would deff be worth it. Is it an entire power train warranty or what all does it cover? I have researched a lot of shops too and decdided the quality of LPE will definitely be worth it.

I would verify exact coverage with them. Shoot them an email and they can fill in the blanks. There are plenty of us here who can attest to the quality of the work! Good luck and just ask if you need anything else!

LPE 550 package

Speed I finally got around to posting the Dyno results. I tried changing the view, but I wasn't successful. Hopefully you have a laptop and can turn it on it's side.

Hi Nightstash, Both Speed and I did the 570 kit, and both of us did it the same way.

We had our cars drop shipped to courtesy Chevrolet, Decatur Indiana. They are 2 miles from LPE. Your dealer can arrange this for you. This saves shipping for one direction. You want to get this set up early with your dealer to get the car routed there - do it now if you are serious. There is a point in the process you will not be able to change location of the delivery.

You need to give LPE 1/2 down for deposit. This gets you in the Queue and will get your car be scheduled to worked on when it arrives. Both Speed and I did this pretty early. I didn't have to wait when my car arrived at LPE. They are getting pretty backed up with all the cars they have to work on..

The 570 kit has a lot of little things that improve on the base kit. The LPE modded cold air intake, fuel injectors, KB boost a pump, dyno tune, and warranty are the additions above base as far as I can tell. Both Speed and I added the Borla exhaust while it was there. If you are adding an aftermarket exhaust, you want it put on at LPE, as it will get included in the TUNE. I also added the MTI shifter, and ADM boost guage. If you look at mine and Speed's signatures, you will see that the dyno #'s are pretty impressive for the kit. both cars came in within 10 lbs of each other - mine was 526 RWHP 491 RWTRQ. Check speed's sig for his #'s. It is worth the 2K extra if you ask either of us. Everyone here in this thread also added the coil covers - they really dresses up under the hood, and they are a peice of art.

LPE does awesome work! Recommended by everyone here... no one will complain about the quality of the work. They are not cheap, though. You get what you pay for.

One side note - The LPE team will put some miles on your car - Mine had 177 Miles on it when I picked it up. This is actually a good thing as they check it out and ensure that everything is operating properly, no engine knocking, fuel curves are set appropriately, timing advance is correct, etc.

Read my member Journal "chronicle of the red devil - a lingenfeltered and pedderized camaro". It has a lot of detail on my experience with LPE. Speed's build is detailed in "My lingenfelter camaro build".

It is worth every penny spent. LPE has 31+ years tuning GM engines and making HP. I would do this again, and wouldn't change anything (other than adding more HP).

Welcome NightStash!!!! You will not be disappointed in going with LPE. They have a great group of guys working there and it is their passion going in to these cars. The little extra for the 570 package was definately worth it. Anything that we can do to help just let us know.

Here is some information on Courtesy Motors in Decatur, IN.

Call Tom Rash at Courtesy Motors in Decatur, IN. His number is 260-724-8525 Ext: 212 or 800-859-5227 Ext: 212 All you have to do to get the drop ship done is to change the BAC Code from your ordering dealer to the Courtesy Motor dealership. I have the code handy but I am sure Tom can help you with this.

I hope you get everything sorted out and I look forward to another brother in the hood....or is it the brotherhood

For those that have bought the LPE 570 package. What does the 3yr warranty cover? Is it the full driveline or just the motor? Also for warranty work were does the car have to go? Back to LPE or can a dealer do the work?

D R - the dyno looks pretty good!! Nice to see your car getting done and I know when you drive it, it is definately worth it. If I lived in Fort Wayne, I'm pretty sure I would be broke and living in my car - being that close to LPE. Another in the Brotherhood..sweet!! Are you going to try and make it to GA in April? Would be cool to hang out again.

To everyone who doesn't know D R. He helped me out when I picked up my car from LPE. Picked us up from the airport, went on the tour with us and hung out until my car was done that day. He is a great guy!! Congrats on getting your car back

I believe the warranty just covers the motor and not the drivetrain. The only problem with them putting a warranty on the drivetrain is that they don't know how a person is going to drive their car with the added hp.
I live in SD and if something small goes wrong with my car, they said I could take it to a good shop or dealership around here to get the work done. IF it is something major, then I would have to send it to them. Which is pretty fair. As long as you communicate your concerns and what you want, I am sure they will work with you. Best decision I could have made.

The 3/36 covers the engine only.. not the whole drivetrain.

I asked this up front.. LPE will work with quality Tuning shops like Janetty racing, or my local Chevrolet service department for issues.

Anything major would have to go back to LPE - Customer is responsible for shipping car both ways.
