I'm surprised with such little gains on these CAIs. Most of the quality CAIs for the Mustang require a tune. It seems that the same thing applies to the Camaro.

Yes, as I understand it the LTFT and STFT do not change the A/F at WOT much but maybe Ted can explain it better.

BTW, I would like to thank you for your time in doing this test. I know all to well how expensive it can get. Fortunately you have your own dyno or I doubt this test would have happened. Most people already knew what intake they wanted this probably just cemented it in. Again that you.

Isn't that an official GM air intake? Why isn't the review about that?

Usually the part i circled is black plastic, not silver metal. That's a "GM performance part" right?

If the tests don't show Vararam as the winner, 2SSRS wont be satisfied.

I do have one question ? How can your Peak Torque be lower than your average torque on the Fastlane one?

Yes, it is part of the GMPP Air Box Kit. However, it is not available for purchase yet...

Nice work jannettyracing. One thing I wish you included though would be the manifold absolute pressure. I am running the stock intake now and my MAP falls to around 95kpa at peak cam efficiency. This obviously means my intake is a restriction right now.

Do you know if the MAP was around 100kpa during all the tests?

I just went back and revewed the logs Stock and with one of the systems, I don't think there is enough resolution in the map sensor to come to any definative conclusion since I can only see about 1 KPA difference between stock and aftermarket.

Looks like this 3k4k5k6k respectively 99,98,97,96 stock then 100,99,98,97, aftermarket and this is average from 100 rpm before and 100 rpm after each point.

Ted.

Cool, thanks for looking into that. You might be right about not having enough resolution.
One more thing, are these the long term fuel trims on the chart?

Anyway I think I'm going to end up with the magnacharger intake, I hear it can add around 200hp
