My choice for winter tires

Ordered these from tire rack after contacting various places around my home town and these were by far the best price for winter tires even though they were in US dollars and shipped to my door. They are Pirelli scorpion Ice and Snow 245/55/R18's. The rims were only 99 a piece (on sale regualr 149 or something), and i think they are great for the price. These tires a a very solid review so i pulled the trigger on them. I would definately do business from tirerack again...made it to my house in 4 business days and i live in Ontario Canada. My car is Victory red and the stripe matches the paint of the car pretty well. So heres some pics. More when i get them on in a couple weeks.

If you don't mind me asking. How much did you end up paying for them in Canadian dollars. I'm also in Ontario and will be using tirerack to get a set myself.

The total came to $1750 canadian...and I believe they came by puralator but im not sure, i wasnt home when they were delivered. $1750 is more than what i wanted to pay, but seeing as the dealer i bought my car wanted $1900 WITHOUT tax and the LS rims, same tires, definately not worth it. So 1750 with everything wasnt actually too bad haha. Oh and i didnt get rhe TPMS...if you do add another 250.

some people have said certain 18's will fit SS.
18s are much cheaper.
I wish I could verify this!

I got the same thing, only with Goodyear UltraGrip tires. Love the red stripe with my VR car!

I got the same wheel on the way, except I went with the Firestone Winterforce and the Titanium Mirror finish on the car.

Those rims look nice! Unfortunately those didn't come up as an option for the SS...damn Brembos!! For the SS, the "recommended" package was 245 Scorpions, but only one rim 18" option @ $660 total (rims). More options if you go with the 225's on 18" rims.

Those are the exact tire I was going to order, although that rim either doesn't fit the SS or it's not available anymore. They look good! Moda has a rim for $135/ea that looks pretty similar.
