Bottom Mount TT vs Top Mount
I am looking at the Hellion TT Kit. And also looking at the AGP Kit. I don't know if go with bottom or top mount. Is there a difference that is big enough to get one or the other. Currently have a Supercharger but its getting hard to compete with TTs. Thanks.

I guess the biggest thing is the heat in the engine bay associated with the top mount kit. Relocation of a few components in the bay necessary as well. I have Huron Speeds kit and it great mid mount setup other than running a return pump, which is the down side on the mid mount kits. Both setups provide great results, it comes down to your level of install and a give or take attitude. Good luck, boost is fun!

I'm thinking bottom mount.
My son just turned 16 and had been bugging me about taking the old supercharger out and adding TT. He has done a lot of research and has been on Camaro Five. He says Bottom Mount, and he has asked around and AGP seems the way to go. We just need to find out which turbos either Garret GTX or EFR fast spooling. Thanks

I think the main seller for top mount turbo kits is the desire for some to have eye candy when you pop the hood. I am not really into that, but more so function over form. I prefer having the turbos in the area where the cats used which is designed from the factory to manage heat. There a few things that may require additional heat protection, but it's nothing crazy. I have the Garret BB 62/65 from AGP and have no issue yet in about 6-7k miles and 3 years.
