I read somewhere (Blonde moment) that the fronts were 20x8 and the rears were 20x9. If the production version (referring to the SS model) is anything close to the concept (look at the rear wheels and you can see they have alot of meat) that going to a 10.5" or 11" shouldn't be a problem, but until we get the full specs it's all just speculation. IT would be nice to have a nice meaty set on the rear

What I can't find: is what width tires the RS package gives the car.
so we're lookin at about 8s up front (or all around) and 9s in the rear...not bad.

from the spec sheet, the wheels will be as such:
LS : 18x7.5 (245/55/18)
LT : same ^^^ and 19X8 (245/50/19)
SS : 20x8 (245/45/20) (front) and 20x9 (275/40/20) (rear)

it would indeed. but IMHO, 20's are a bit much for this car. im going to see if i can get a set of 16" wheels to fit on there over the brakes (cus i know my 15"s wont, but ive got my stock salad shooters from my 94Z with drag slicks on them ready to put some numbers down

just like damn near every other base model out there, YES, it will have steel 18" rims for the LS

if you opt for the LT you can get aluminum

From all the official pics it seems that the rear quarters arch lips are rolled. Not having to roll rear quarters would be nice. Mercedes rolls the rrear wheel arches on all its cars at the factory allowing many a customer a credit card swipe at the rim shop to get exact offset correct 1st time out w/o rubbing. Hope we get pre-rolled cars and a 305 width will fit w/o modding.

16's? hell no...that car is impressive as heck with the 20's. I'd even shun away from 18's. Do you think that putting 16's will have anything effect on brake cooling?

20's might look cool on the street, but the low profile tires and stiff sidewalls suck at the track... unless you like to spin thru your 60ft.

I hope we can put 10" wide tires in the rear. Or i may have to start ripping out plastic.

A 275/40/20" Yokohama Advan Sport is 11" wide and 28.7" tall.

Thats the OEM rear size on the SS.
