Question Shouldn't 2nd gear chirp?

I have a 2014 Camaro 1LS. So obviously it's a manual v6. I've only had it for a little while and I had the 2nd gear synchro replaced by the dealership. The dealership said the clutch needed to be replaced. I don't feel any slippage or hear any chatter or anything so I told them not to worry about it for now. But I guess my question is- "When aggressively shifting into second gear, shouldn't I be able to break the tires loose if I wanted to? I obviously take the traction control completely off. But when I shift into second, I can't even get the tires to 'chirp!' Shouldn't they at least spin a little bit if i want them to?" I used to have a manual Chevy s10 with a 4 banger that would even make a little chirp, so why not a 323hpwr camaro? I even have a CAI and Flowmasters to add even more horse power. So what gives? Any thoughts besides the smartasses who are gonna say "should have got a v8"?

I don't know that i can give you a serious answer with that screen name. Your clutch is probably slipping a little so you aren't getting a harsh engagement which would cause the chirp. I don't know if the v6s spin 2nd gear, maybe if you short shift 1st and get the rpms up remote dumping the clutch in 2nd. My SS barely chirped 2nd when it was stock and i was actually trying to go it would just squat and hook. Independent rear suspension works differently than solid rear axles.

And also a CAI and exhaust will not net you much, if any more HP, maybe 3-5 at the most..

My v6 chirps second pretty good but its auto. When it did it I was in heavy traffic on a 4 lane pulling away from a light. Everyone drives like a nut so I was trying to get out ahead. It turned the tires in 1st pretty good then chirped second very nice. I was in heaven thinking I OWN THIS HIGHWAY you can not take me on. LOL Pickup truck flew by me Laughing.

These cars to really hook the road so if you have good tires it may be tough to spin them. My rear tires are worn down and need to be replaced, I think thats why they turn easily now.

Can't really compare the autos to a stick car, the suspension stays loaded so just having a firm shift will chirp tires. In a stick you are unloading the suspension them when you hit it again the suspension absorbs most of the shock before it gets to the ground on a irs. Lowering or stiffer springs gets rid of a lot of this slop/delay. This is why just doing lowering springs can actually quicken your 0-60 times by a tenth or two.

Plenty of variables involved here. You're dealing with an engine that makes good HP but not a lot of torque. Combine that with good tires and Posi (pretty sure you have that) and you're asking for a lot. Your old pick-up also had no weight in the back and probably no Posi. Also a note of caution, those small transmissions are not the stoutest around. Be careful or you could be riding shotgun in a flatbed back to your garage.

Tires are a huge factor. Some compounds just don't make that lovely noise and grip grip grip.

I have had tires I could spin all day but wouldn't make a peep. Others would scream just turning into the parking spot.
