DT normally makes an outstanding product. I have not seen any reviews posted, so keep us posted on your impressions. Good luck on your mod.

i have the dt long tube headers 1 7/8 with high flow cats.. they are a great product. there may be better but they are sharp looking and good performance. easy to install and were $1100 shipped. i think the Steel works are some what ugly. the finish is tacky. when you go to buy them they want you to buy the headers all the way back $2600. the headers won't connect to the stock X pipes. DT all the way.

I was thinking about this very thing the other night. I remember way back when i took some cats out I wired a resister into the oxygen sensor. Essentially the resister would send back the correct voltage to the ecm so it thinks the o2's are still working in the proper range. This would be a great way to add long tube headers with no cats and not mess with computer tuning. This way no codes would be thrown and no reflash of the computer is needed, thus if you have major warranty problems take the headers off and the computer will never know or show it has been altered.
Obviously a tune will create more power, but it seems as if the come from factory running rich and doing this would help lean them out with out reprogramming. Just need someone to build o2 simulators or figure out what wires to splice and what size resistor would be needed to wire in. |

i am getting a HP tune. this week. $350 and includes 3 dyno pulls. he says it will run like a dream. the nice thing if there is a problem with the car. all i have to do is call him and he re installs the factory tune. take it in and have it fixed with the dealer. take it home and have the performance tune put back in.

We have some pretty rocking prices on Kooks right now...better than most of you think. If your curious, give us a call for pricing at 443-730-9428. Kooks is one of the best headers you can buy
